GOOGLY GIFT:

Hello there! I promised you something a little more fun today, and I hope I delivered! I made this for my hostess this month using the Ghoulish Googlies Bundle found in the Holiday Catalog. It's priced to save you 15% when you buy both the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit and the Googly Ghouls Stamp Set. I was so happy that SU! bundled these 2 items, so I didn't have to try to decide between the two-they're both just way too cute!

I stamped the little spider in Basic Black onto the glassine bag first. Then I put a piece of the adorable Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP in the bag and folded the top down. I trimmed one of the tags down a bit and adhered it to the polka dot DSP. I broke out the new Striped Satin Ribbon and wrapped it around the top of the bag-smooth as butta! I used the set Word Play and colored 'thank' with a Tangerine Tango Marker and then stamped the Boooo in Basic Black. I knotched out the end with my Paper Snips. Next, I added a Neutrals Button with a piece of exclusive Pumpkin Pie Baker's Twine-only available with the Kit. I finished off the spider with a fun pair of Googly Eyes which are adhesive backed. I filled the bag with 9 Rolos. I was really wanting to try one out to make sure they weren't too gooey, but I knew one would turn into a dozen, so I didn't go there! I hope you like my little ghouly bag and will make some for your little monsters. Thanks so much for coming by!

FIELD FLOWERS CARD:

Hello there! I want to apologize for the quality of this picture. I don't know why I couldn't get a good image. And I also can't remember where I saw the idea for this card. If it looks familiar, please let me know so I can give you credit. I used the set Field Flowers. I'm not usually a big flower person, but there's something about this set that I love. Yes, it's another sympathy card-getting kinda depressing around here! I make cards to sell at the Farmer's Market, and I've been having requests for sympathy cards. I used a Very Vanilla base and the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder. I ran it through the Big Shot using a piece of Pink Pirouette Cardstock. I used the En Francais Background Stamp behind the flowers. I made a banner and stamped the sentiment with Teeny Tiny Wishes. I finished it off with a bow made with Pink Pirouette Taffeta Ribbon.

Here's a recent picture of my little grandbaby Quinten. Yes, he's as devious as he looks! My posts may be a little shorter from here on out for awhile. This little guy is wearing me out! Thanks so much for coming by today. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have something a little more fun for you! Have a good one!

LOVELY AS A TREE CARD:

Hello there! Today I have another sympathy card for you. I used the set Lovely As A Tree. I found the idea for this card on the Splitcoast SU! Gallery by Wendy Janson. You can see her card at:
www.itsallaboutstamping.wordpress...with tree-cas. I used a Crumb Cake base with Early Espresso DSP from the Neutrals Stack. I also used Always Artichoke Cardstock that was stamped with the leaf image in the background. I stamped the tree image on Sahara Sand using  Certainly Celery, Always Artichoke and Early Espresso Markers. I used the 3/4", 1/2" 1/4" (retired) Circle Punches and the circle punch in the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, to make the faux grommets. I stacked them on top of each other and tied some Early Espresso Baker's Twine through them. The sentiment is from Thoughts and Prayers. Sorry to be so short and sweet, but its been a long day! Thanks so much for stopping by!

UP, UP & AWAY:

Hi there! I have to confess, I'm out of projects to share with you. I need to get busy tomorrow! Looks like my week-ends are going to be spent babysitting for awhile, so I need to figure out a new game plan. Even though the DSP is retired on this card, the stamp set is still current, so I decided to post this card. I used a Whisper White base and I think the name of this DSP was Big Top-not 100% sure about that. I stamped the clouds in Tempting Turquoise and the balloons were stamped in Real Red. I stamped the balloons a second time, cut them out and popped them up with Dimensionals. The little tails were stamped in Daffodil Delight. I added a banner in Real Red and added a Brights Brad. The sentiment is also stamped in Real Red. I had made this card for a graduation, but you could easily make this for several different occasions. The set also includes birthday, Valentines's and miss you sentiments. This card was super easy and quick to make-something rare for me! Thanks so much for stopping by.  Check back tomorrow and see what I have for you-we'll be surprised together!

BABY SHOWER CARD:

Hello again! Here's a card that's a little more fun than the last one I posted. My nephew called me a couple weeks ago and asked if I was still in the card game and if I could make a baby shower card for his girlfriend. Of course I was happy too-well, pretty much-I had less than 24 hours notice! She was wanting a jungle theme, and I had remembered a cute card by leighastamps at www.diaryoftwocraftygirls.com.  She used the set Fox & Friends, which is now retired, but you could easily substitute the monkey for something else. Her card was adorable, but I changed it a little to accomodate the jungle theme.

I started with a Whisper White base and used the woodgrain design from the Orchard Harvest DSP from the Holiday Catalog. I added some Daffodil Delight Cardstock that was run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. I added a strip of Daffodil Delight Stitched Ribbon and tied it in a square knot. I adhered the monkeys to a strip of Lucky Limeade Cardstock with a Chocolate Chip Scallop Dots Ribbon border on each side. I used the Bird Builder Punch to punch out the branches in Chocolate Chip and then again in Lucky Limeade and glued the leaves onto the branches. I added a Chocolate Chip Border with the Scallop Edge Border Punch underneath the Daffodil Delight. I added a couple of Chocolate Chip buttons made with the Buttons #5 Sizzlets that was run through the Big Shot.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. Well that's enough 'monkeyin-around' for one night. Have a great one and thanks for coming by again!

FIELD FLOWERS CARD:

Happy Sunday to you! Sorry I didn't get this posted yesterday-I was babysitting my grandsons and I was exhausted when they finally went to bed. I was right behind them! Quinten is crawling now and pulling himself up on everything, and getting stuck behind the couch....aren't you exhausted just reading about it? Anyway, I've been needing sympathy cards lately unfortunately, so I have one to share with you today. I had grand ideas for it, but I couldn't get it to work out as I wanted. I used a Very Vanilla base and the Summer Starfruit design in the Patio Party DSP.

I stamped the flower images in Soft Suede and ran the Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel in Pool Party for the background. I cut it out using the Big Shot and Top Note Die. I ran some Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon along the Pool Party Cardstock and added a Pool Party Seam Binding bow. I gave the edge of the card some attention using the Scallop Edge Border Punch. I finished the card with one of the new lovely Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons. Sorry to be late with this. Stop back later today, and I'll have a fun baby shower card to share with you. Thanks so much for coming by!

PERFECTLY PRESERVED CARD:

Hello there! It seems everybody is into 'bundling' these days, and SU! is no exception. In the Holiday Catalog, you'll find several different bundles, and these are great deals! You save 15% when you buy the stamp set and the coordinating Framelits, which cut out the stamped images. This card features the Perfectly Preserved Bundle, which includes the Perfectly Preserved stamp set and the Cannery Set Framelit Dies. I used a Crumb Cake base and used the Orchard Harvest DSP which also coordinates with these products. I also broke out the new Woodgrain Embossing Folder with the Early Espresso Core'dinations Cardstock, and the effect is amazing!

I ran a Cajun Craze Cardstock border along the side which was stamped off with the flower image. I also used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Products to add a stitched line and added a couple Vintage Trinkets Brads. I ran a piece of the DSP through the Big Shot with one of the Framelits Dies, and then stamped the jar and fruit images and cut them out as well. I stamped the sentiment on Crumb Cake and ran it through with the Bitty Banners Framelits. I finished the jar off with a Linen Thread bow. I just love the homemade and homespun feel of this set. I hope it inspires you to go make something handmade. Thanks so much for coming by today! I'll see you tomorrow!

STORYBOOK FRIENDS CARD:

Hey there! As promised, I have a cute Storybook Friends card for you made with the coordinating Storytime DSP. I just think this is the cutest suite ever-maybe because it's kinda 'old school' like me! I saw a bunch of cards a couple weeks ago that used this sketch and thought I'd get in on the action too. It's a perfect fit for this DSP because I love every sheet, and I got to use 4 of them!

I started with a Whisper White base and used a Riding Hood Red Cardstock border behind the DSP. I used Basic Grey ink and colored the puppy in with the Neutrals Watercolor Wonder Crayons. I then used a Blender Pen to smooth it out a bit. I punched out the image with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and layered a 2 3/8" Scallop Circle behind it. I added some Wild Wasabi Stitched Ribbon and a So Saffron banner that was cut out with the Big Shot and Bitty Banners Framelits. I finished it off with a Brights Button and Pool Party Baker's Twine. I thought this would be a perfect card for this back-to- school season we just started. I hope you love this suite as much as I do---because you may be seeing alot of it! Thanks so much for stopping by.  Make sure to swing by tomorrow for another perfect suite, and find out why "We All Bundle".

CREATE A CUPCAKE CARD:

Hi there! Today I have a fun birthday card for you. I've had this set, Create A Cupcake, for a long time and figured it was time to ink it up. I used a Crumb Cake base and used Melon Mambo and Crumb Cake DSP from the Brights and Neutrals Paper Stacks.

I also used Daffodil Delight Cardstock and Stitched Ribbon. I added the sweet border with the Scallop Trim Border Punch punched out of Whisper White Cardstock. Wow, that was easy! And the card was really easy and quick to make too! We had a great time at Club Card Night last night and I have some new cards to share with you. If you like the Storytime Suite, make sure to stop by tomorrow. I've got a cute card to share with you. Thanks so much for coming by!

DINOROAR CARD:

Hello there! Today I have a fun little boy card for you featuring the set Dinoroar. I have 2 grandsons, so I knew I was going to be needing this set. I took the idea from one of the catalogs and just changed the stamp set and colors. I couldn't find it in the current catalog-it must have been in the last one. Sorry, I'm too lazy to go check. I also stole the color scheme from the catalog. I used the colors in the Bandstand Simply Scrappin' Kit. I started with an Old Olive Base and used Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party and So Saffron Cardstock as well. I used a piece of DSP from the Brights Paper Stack and wrapped some Pool Party Baker's Twine around the card a couple of times.

I do remember now that this template was from the last catalog, because we no longer carry the Crop-o-Dile, so I had to get creative in making the tags. I used the small circle in the Owl Builder Punch for the center and used the largest Owl circle to punch it out. Then I stuck one of the Vintage Trinkets safety pins through the center and adhered them to the tags using Glue Dots. I stamped the sentiment on Whisper White and punched it out with the Modern Label Punch. I thought it sort of resembled a dinosaur bone, so I trimmed it down a little to look like the real deal. I sponged around the edges a little to age it a bit. I stamped the grass images and punched them out with the Small Oval Punch. I finished it off with a Regals Brad. Thanks so much for stopping by! Make sure to come back tomorrow for a fun birthday card!

MOVING FORWARD CARD:

Hello there! What another beautiful day today! We sure have been blessed with this weather lately.  I thought this would be a perfect card to share with you today-perfect bike riding weather! I used the adorable set Moving Forward. Hopefully you didn't miss it in the catalog-it's on the very last page. Maybe they saved the best for last! Not only is this set just about the cutest thing eva, but SU! donates $3 from every sale of this set to the Ronald McDonald House Charities; so you can feel extra good about buying this set!

I started with a Very Vanilla base and added a piece of Storytime DSP-which I think has become my favorite paper in the new catalog. I'm also finding that I really like the new In-Color Summer Starfruit. It was my least favorite when I was first introduced to them, but I really love it paired with Early Espresso and Riding Hood Red. I'm also really loving the Core'dinations Cardstock that is available in the Holiday Catalog. It comes in Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green. It's fun to sand it and give it a distressed look, or you can leave it as it is and have a subtle textured cardstock. I'm really hoping this does well and SU! will roll out this cardstock in all colors! I used the Scallop Edge Border Punch on the Summer Starfruit underneath the Early Espresso. I used the 2 1/2" Circle Punch to punch out the bike image and the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits makes a perfect backdrop. I added some Summer Starfriut Stitched Satin Ribbon and a row of RHR flowers punched with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. Three tiny Basic Pearls added the finishing touch! I hope you enjoyed todays card. Make sure to stop back again tomorrow. Thanks for coming by!

BETSY'S BLOSSOMS CARD:

Happy day to you! I hope you had a wonderful week-end. I babysat my little grandbaby 4 days in a row! I love that little guy and it's awesome to get to see him every day, but I'm ready to get something done today! Here's another card we made at Club Card Night awhile back. I used the set Betsy's Blossoms and Floral District DSP. Both make for a fun, bright card. For the background, I used a piece of Daffodil Delight and ran the Betsy's Blooms wheel along one side. I used Tangerine Tango and Lucky Limeade Cardstock along with some of the Ruffled Ribbon in Lucky Limeade.

I stamped the bird once in Daffodil Delight and then again in Tangerine Tango. I cut the wings out and popped them up on the bird using Dimensionals. I borrowed the idea for the nest from the catalog. I just cut some skinny strips of Early Espresso, crumpled them up and glued them under the bird. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners and it was cut out with the Big Shot and Bitty Banners Framelits. I added a Brights Button and that's about it! Thanks so much for coming by today! See you again tomorrow!

BABY BUNDLE CARDS:

Hi there! Today I have a couple of baby cards for you. I used the Baby Bundle set and made one for a boy and one for a girl:

I used a Very Vanilla base for each. For the girl card I used Regal Rose, Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede. I colored the carriage with Markers and added a Neutrals Brad. I added a heart punched out with the Owl Builder Punch and used a Glue Dot to attach it. I used the Regal Rose Taffeta Ribbon to add the bow.

For the boy card, I used Tempting Turquiose, Pumpkin Pie and Basic Grey. For the sentiment I used the set Baby Prints. I punched them out using the Large Oval and Scallop Oval Punches. The DSP is from the Brights Paper Stack.

For the scalloped piece I used the Adorning Accents Edgelits and Folders. I love the detail that these two products add to a project. I finished off the card with a Brights Button with a strip of cardstock threaded through the holes. These came together pretty quickly. The coloring was the most time consuming. To save a little time, you could stamp the carriage image onto some DSP, cut it out and attach it. Actually that would have been a whole lot easier-why can't I ever figure that out before and not after Card Night?  Thanks so much for coming by. I'll see you tomorrow!

MAKE A CAKE CARD:

Hello there! Today I have a card to share with you that we made at Club Card Night awhile back. I used the set Make A Cake and thought it would work well for a masculine card. I started with a Crumb Cake base and used Patio Party DSP along with Whisper White and Midnight Muse Cardstock. I'm really loving that blue! I added a strip of Whisper White Stitched Ribbon with a tag that was punched out with the Modern Label Punch. For the sentiment, I colored the stamp with Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit and Midnight Muse Markers. For the cake, I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line the cake layers up on top of each other. I stamped the cake image again onto Summer Starfruit and Primrose Petals Cardstock, cut them out and adhered them to the cake. I finished the card off with one of the manly Naturals Buttons. I hope you enjoyed todays card. Stop back for a couple of baby cards tomorrow. Thanks so much for coming by!

PETITE BACKPACK:

Hello there! Today I have a cute little backpack to share with you just in time for back to school. I made this for one of my hostesses using the Petite Purse Die that was run through the Big Shot. I used the adorable Storytime DSP and added some Wild Wasabi Stitched Ribbon. I made a little pocket with the Petal Card Double Punch and added a couple white brads from the Neutrals Brads. The little tag was stamped with Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched out with the Jewelry Tag Punch. I added some Velcro dots to the flap and filled the the backpack with chocolate. I think it held about 9 Rolos. This came together really fast and easy so you could make a bunch for all your little scholars. I hope you enjoyed my little project. Make sure to stop back again tomorrow. Thanks so much for stopping by!

LAST OF THE DISPLAY SAMPLES:

Hello there!  This is the last of my samples I made for the display boards at Convention. This little cutie was made with Daydream Medallions again. I saved the best for last-this is my favorite project I made with this set. This is a 3 x 3 card and super easy to make, so you could whip up a bunch for the holidays. I started with a Soft Suede base and cut out some squares in the background to resemble a door. I stamped a couple of the medallions onto Certainly Celery Cardstock and cut them out with the  Floral Frames Framelits. I popped them up with dimensionals and added some Basic Pearls. I finished the wreath off with a bow made with Primrose Petals Stitched Satin Ribbon and a little tag stamped with Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched out with the Jewelry Tag Punch. I feel really blessed to have been asked to participate in these projects this year. It's been a challenge, and I gained at least 5 pounds each time I was asked to make samples, but it's been very rewarding and I hope I get the opportunity to do it again. That being said, it will be kind of nice to get back to making projects with products that are more my style. Make sure to stop back tomorrow for a cute little 3-D item I've been wanting to share with you! Thanks so much for all your encouraging comments and for stopping by!

ANOTHER DAYDREAM MEDALLIONS CARD:

Hello! Here's another Daydream Medallions card I'd like to share with you. I used a Tempting Turquoise base and added Summer Smooches DSP. I put a Daffodil Delight background behind the flowers. I stamped the medallions in Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Tangerine Tango and punched them out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch. I am trying to figure out what I did underneath-maybe I'll remember? I added a Brights Button to each flower and threaded a strip of cardstock through the holes. I attached a toothpick to the back of each flower and tied a piece of Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon around each. I used the Cupcake Builder Punch and scored it with the Simply Scored for the pots. The sentiment was stamped with Tiny Tags and punched out with the Jewelry Tag Punch. I added some Daffodil Delight Stitched Ribbon around the DSP that was punched with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. Okay, I still haven't figured out how I did the petals behind the circles. If you figure it out, please let me know! Thanks so much for coming by today! I have one last Medallion card for you tomorrow-stop back!

DAYDREAM MEDALLIONS PAGE:

Hi there! I'm not much of a scrapbooker, but I have a fun page to share with you today. We're required to do at least one scrapbook page with each set we're given to work with when asked to be a display stamper. I normally kinda struggle in this area, but I knew right away that the medallions in this set would make great suns. And we had just gotten back from Florida, so this page kind of worked itself out! I used a 12x12 Daffodil Delight backdrop with a Marina Mist center made with the DSP Paper Stack.

I stamped the medallions in Daffodil Delight onto Daffodil Delight Cardstock and ran them through the Big Shot with the coordinating Floral Frames Framelits. Next I ran some photos through the Big Shot with various circle dies. I also used the Fancy Flower Punch and added a couple Brights Buttons. I used Broadsheet and Simply Serif Mini Alphabet sets for the title. I used the Tasteful Trim Die for the scallop and rick-rack (I have no idea how to spell that?) borders. I had a lot of fun making this page and was happy how fun and sunny it turned out. I hope you like it too! Thanks so much for coming by today. I'll have another card for you tomorrow-make sure to stop back!

DAYDREAM MEDALLIONS CARD:

Hello! Today I have another card for you made with Daydream Medallions. Sometimes I need a little help getting started with a color scheme, so I look in the SU! catalog. I love how they have the little squares of color as a quick reference. For this card I used the Afternoon Daydream Scrappin' Kit for inspiration. The colors in the kit are: Basic Grey, More Mustard, Pool Party and Primrose Petals. Those are colors I would have never put together, but I love how they work.  I started with a Pool Party base and added some Twitterpated DSP and More Mustard from the Regals Paper Stack. I layered a bunch of the medallions that I cut out with the Floral Frames Framelits with the help of the Big Shot. I also added a Basic Grey medallion that was cut out with the Perfect Pennants Die. I added some Primrose Petals Stitched satin Ribbon and a Dahlia in the center.  I stamped the sentiment in Basic Grey with the set Friendly Phrases. I finished it off with a couple Regals Buttons and some faux stitching around the edge. Well that wraps it up for this card. Check back tomorrow for a fun scrapbook page! Thanks so much for stopping by!

DAYDREAM MEDALLIONS POCKET:

Hi there! This is a 3-D item I made with Daydream Medallions for the display boards. Like I posted earlier, I struggled with this set, so I decided to make something red-anything red has to be cute, right? So I started with a piece of Real Red Cardstock that I ran through the Big Shot using the Scallop Circle Die. On top of that, I ran the 3 1/2" Circle Die through the big Shot and stamped the medallion image onto it using the Stamp-a-ma-jig. I ran a piece of the darling new Polka Dot Parade DSP through the Big Shot again using the 3 1/2" Circle Die and cut it in half. I used the White Gel Pen to add some stitching. Next, I tied a bow around the pocket using the Real Red Stitched Ribbon. Again, with ribbon this cute, you just can't go wrong! After that, I stamped a different medallion image on Vellum Cardstock and cut it out with one of the Floral Frames Framelits. I folded it in half and tucked it inside the pocket. I added a little tag using the Occasions Alphabet and a bunch of cute red buttons. Finally, I added a cookie in a cello bag tied up with some Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine. These could easily be made into Halloween pockets for your little goblins. I hope you enjoyed this project and will try making some yourself. Thanks so much for stopping by! See you tomorrow:)

DAYDREAM MEDALLIONS CARD:

Hello there! Another beautiful day today-hope you got to get out and enjoy a little of it.  I thought this  was a perfect card for this perfect day! This is my last Convention '6-Pack' which features the set Daydream Medallions. As with the previous sets that I was given to work with, I just sat and stared at this one trying to figure out what to do with it. I ordered the Floral Frames Framelits that coordinate with this set, and the two worked perfectly together. I started with a Calypso Coral Base that I ran through the Big Shot with the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder. Next I added a Pool Party sky in the background and some Lucky Limeade grass. I rolled and bundled up 3 pieces of Early Espresso Cardstock to resemble a tree trunk and wrapped some Early Espresso Stitched Ribbon around it. Next, I stamped 2 of the images in Lucky Limeade onto Lucky Limeade Cardstock and cut them out with the Framelits. I added some Designer Printed Brad apples and popped the tree tops up with Dimensionals. I stamped another image in Basic Black onto Basic Black Cardstock and used a couple Circle Punches to make the tire swing and hung it from the tree using Linen Thread. I added a little flower at the bottom in Wisteria Wonder. The sentiment is from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes. I had a lot of fun making this card and I hope you enjoy it as well. Thanks so much for coming by today! I'll have another Medallion project for you tomorrow

LAST AFFECTION COLLECTION CARD:

Hello there! I have one final card made with Affection Collection. I used an Early Espresso base and covered it with Early Espresso DSP from the Paper Stack. I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso and layered it underneath the flap of the Scallop Envelope Die that I had run through the Big Shot.

I added some scalloped borders-the Elegant Eggplant is made with the Scallop Dots Ribbon, and the Pink Pirouette is made with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. I also added a couple of rows at the bottom of the card. I tied some Pink Pirouette Taffeta Ribbon around the envelope and attached a Vintage Trinket safety pin with a Subtles Button on the end. I finished the card off with some Basic Pearls. This was a really easy card to put together and could easily be changed up to match the color scheme of any upcoming weddings you may have. Well that's it for Affection Collection. I have one more '6-Pack' for you. Check back tomorrow and I'll have a cute little project for you made with Daydream Medallions. Thanks for stopping by!

ANOTHER AFFECTION COLLECTION CARD:

Hello there! I have another card for you using Affection Collection. I started with a Basic Black base and added some First Edition DSP which I stamped with Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler. On the bottom, I used a strip of Cherry Cobbler DSP from the Paper Stack, which I also stamped on with Basic Black. I pleated a piece of Basic Black Cardstock and adhered it over the DSP. Next, I stamped the sentiment and layered it with the Labels Collection Framelits. I added a Basic Black Taffeta bow and tucked some Paper Daisies behind. I finished off the card with a Raspberry Ripple Dahlia and Basic Rhinestones and Pearls. This usually isn't my kind of style, but I ended up really liking how this card turned out. I hope you do too! Thanks so much for coming by today. Stop back tomorrow to see one last Affection Collection project.

AFFECTION COLLECTION PAGE:

Hello there! Here's a scrapbook page I made for the display boards using Affection Collection. This was extra challenging for me. I'm not a scrapbooker and I'm not a huge fan of this set, so it was a double whammy! But I ended up really liking how this page turned out-maybe it was the subject matter! We took these pictures when we were in Florida. The only downside of the trip was that our son Joel wasn't with us-couldn't get off work :(

In addition to Affection Collection, I also used Lovely Letters Alphabet for the sentiment. I used the Peek-A-Boo Die with the Big Shot to make frames for some of the letters. I also used the Postage Stamp Punch to layer under the 'F' in FAMILY.  I inked up the Daydream Jumbo Wheel in Basic Gray and ran a border on Brushed Silver Cardstock. I did alot of embossing and cutting out.

I used the Ex Libris Background Stamp as frames for the photos. I used Gold Embossing Powder on Basic Black Cardstock, cut the center out and popped them up with Dimensionals. I finished the page off with a Vintage Brad and a couple of the beautiful new Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons, and a Crumb Cake Seam Binding bow.  What a wonderful reminder of a wonderful trip! Thanks so much for stopping by. See you tomorrow with another project.

AFFECTION COLLECTION BOX:

Hi there! Today I have a cute little gift box for you.  I started with a Kraft Gift Box and wrapped a strip of Summer Smooches DSP around it. I tucked a Daffodil Delight scallop border underneath made with the Tasteful Trim Die that was run through the Big Shot. The tag was stamped with a sentiment from Affection Collection colored with several markers-Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral and Island Indigo. I cut it out with one of the dies in the Apothecary Accents Framelits and added a little paper-pierced border made with the new Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Mat and Tool. I love the extra detail these products add to the tag. I added a couple of Designer Printed Brads on top of folded mini flowers punched out with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack-why can't SU! shorten the names of some of their products? And I wrapped it up with some Island Indigo Baker's Twine.

I added a little stitching at the bottom with some White Baker's Twine that I colored with a Calypso Coral Marker.  I finished it off with a Daffodil Delight tag with a Brights Brad and some more Baker's Twine. I love how quick and easy these little boxes are-just add a belly band and a tag and you're done-oh and chocolate!!!  Thanks so much for stopping by today-make sure to come back tomorrow and see what I have for you!

AFFECTION COLLECTION 5 X 5:

Hello to you! I hope you had a wonderful week-end. I sure did. I went shopping yesterday with my two girls and little grandbaby Quinten. Then the guys met us at Red Lobster for supper-doesn't get much better than that! Today, I have another card for you made with Affection Collection-this time a 5 X 5 card. I have to be honest, when I opened up the box SU! sent me and I saw this set, I wanted to cry. I thought, what am I going to do with this? But I managed to come up with 6 projects, and I was happy with them all! This would make a perfect wedding, anniversary or even Valentine's Day card.

I started with a Very Vanilla base and added a couple different patterns from the Neutrals Paper Stack in Basic Grey. I added some layers in Pool Party and Very Vanilla and the scallop square was run through the Big Shot using the Scallop Squares Duo Die. The letters were punched out with the 1" Square Punch and I added a Pool Party Seam Binding bow to the corner. I finished it off with a little border of Basic Pearls. Thanks so much for coming by today. Make sure to stop back tomorrow for another project with this set. Enjoy the beautiful day!

AFFECTION COLLECTION CARD:

Happy Sunday to you! I gotta tell ya-I'm not feeling alot of affection for this card right now. I was just about done posting all the details, and I must have hit the wrong button, and it all disappeared! So sorry to say, I'm going to have to give you a condensed version, as I've got to get ready for church. And then a  fun day of shopping in Coralville! I used a piece of Regal Rose DSP and embossed it-kind of unevenly to give it a worn, vintage feel. Next I embossed squares in Pool Party, So Saffron and Wisteria Wonder. I laid them out on top of Certainly Celery that was punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I added a strip of Pool Party on top of that which was punched with the Scallop Edge Border punch and tied with Pool Party Seam Binding. I stamped the sentiment in Basic Grey onto Very Vanilla Cardstock and punched it out with the Modern Label Punch. I layered a square underneath that was stamped on vellum and punch out with a square punch. I added a couple of mini flowers punched out with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and added a brad to the center of each. I finished it off with a lovely little border that was run through the Big Shot with the Finishing Touches Edgelits. And I better stop here before I do something stupid again! Have a beautiful day and make sure to stop back tomorrow! Thanks for coming by!

LAST AMAZING CARD:

Hi there! I have one more card for you that was made with You're Amazing. This stamp set kind of reminds me of the movie Moulin Rouge, so that is where I was going with this-kind of a burlesque/Love Story theme-you know, perfect for any occasion kinda card! I started with a Basic Black base and added some World Spectacular DSP. I added a border out of Brushed Silver Cardstock punched with the Scallop Trim Border. I ran a sheet of First Edition DSP through the Big Shot using the Top Note Die and added some Silver Glass Glitter around the edge. I did some embossing on Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and cut the sentiment out with one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits. I added some Antique Brads and Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding. At the bottom, I added a Basic Black border made with the Finishing Touches Edgelits and tucked a row of 3/4" circles underneath. Nope, actually I lied-I used the Basic Black Scallop Dots Ribbon, but the Edgelits would work great too!  I hope you've enjoyed some ideas for this set. Starting tomorrow, I'll have some ideas for you with a brand new stamp set that is in the Holiday Catalog-Affection Collection. Make sure to swing by. Thanks so much for visiting!

ANOTHER AMAZING CARD:

Happy day to you! Here's another card made with You're Amazing for the display boards. I like the World Spectacular DSP with all the hot air balloons on it, and thought it would be fun to hoist the elephant up in the air with one of the balloons. The Wish Big image from Bring on the Cake added the perfect kitch-y element to the card. I started with an Island Indigo base and tucked the same colored Ruffled Ribbon underneath the balloon DSP.

I stamped the images in Early Espresso and colored the elephant in with Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake Markers. On his hat I used Calypso Coral, Island Indigo and Daffodil Delight. I'm not really sure what I did on the balloon-sorry, it's been too long ago. I did add the flags to the top of the balloon using the Stamp-A-Ma-jig and added a couple of Brights Brads to the bottom. I added some clouds in the background with Island Indigo and a scallop circle. I added some Early Espresso Stitched Ribbon and popped up a few of the balloons with dimensionals. I hope you enjoyed my fun little card today. Stop back tomorrow for one more card made with Blue Ribbon, and then we'll move on to another '6-Pack'. Thanks so much for stopping by today!

JOLLY BINGO BITS CARD:

Hi there! This is the last of the cards I have from my Christmas in July Stamp-A-Stack last week-end. This is made with Jolly Bingo Bits. I love so many of the mini images in the set, it was hard to decide which ones to use! I used Be of Good Cheer and Storytime DSP on this card-they worked really well together. I used a Crumb Cake base, and  color scheme of Very Vanilla, Primrose Petals, Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party and Gumball Green. I LOVE the brand new 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch that I paired with the 1' Circle Punch for the images. I wrapped a piece of  Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon around a strip if Primrose Petals that was run through the Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim Die.

Next, I ran the sentiment from Petite Pairs through the Big Shot using Bitty Banners Framelits and adhered it to the wreath. I added a tiny Pool Party flower punched with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and popped a Rhinestone Jewel in the center. It took me awhile to decide where to put the bow, but I finally decided below the wreath was a good spot. I hope you've enjoyed some early Christmas cards; I'm excited to have 20 made already. I probably won't get the rest done until December, but you never know-maybe I'm on a roll! Make sure to stop back tomorrow. I'll have some more Convention samples to share with you. Have a great night!
