HAPPY HOUR CLASS:

Hello there! I'm so excited...in less than 2 weeks I hold my first Happy Hour Class at Martinis! Come make these fun cards while sipping on half-priced drinks all night:) The cost is $10 or get the class for FREE with a $25 order! These are the 2 projects that we'll be making. I wanted to keep them pretty simple because I'm going to have some new stampers and well, it's half-priced drinks all night, so we may need simple:)

This card features the set Mixed Drinks, which will fit in just fine! I started with a Daffodil Delight base and randomly stamped the lemon image with Daffodil Delight ink as well. I flagged the bottom of a piece of Melon Mambo Cardstock and adhered it to the base with SNAIL. Next I stamped the glass with Smoky Slate ink and the sentiment onto a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock. I used the 1" Circle Punch to punch it out. I stamped the margarita with Pear Pizzazz ink and stamped the straw with Melon Mambo ink. I attached the sentiment with a Dimensional and added a Whisper White Baker's Twine bow with a Glue Dot.

For the second card I used the set Sprinkles of Life. I started with a Whisper White base and added a layer of Pacific Point Cardstock. On top of that I added a piece of Birthday Memories DSP. I ran a piece of Whisper White Cardstock through the Big Shot using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I stamped the cupcake bottom with Soft Suede ink onto So Saffron Cardstock and cut it out with my Paper Snips. I stamped the frosting with Soft Suede onto Crumb Cake Cardstock and used the coordinating Tree Builder Punch to punch it out.

I adhered the square to the DSP using SNAIL and added the cupcake bottom with SNAIL. I attached the frosting with Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment with Soft Suede ink onto a strip of Whisper White Cardstock and flagged both ends. I adhered it to the base with a couple of Dimensionals. I then stamped the candle with Soft Suede ink onto Pumpkin Pie Cardstock and cut it out with Paper Snips. I attached it to the frosting with SNAIL and added a few Brights Enamel Shapes. I finished it off by tying a piece of Old Olive Baker's Twine around the card and tied a bow

I hope you'll make plans to join me on Thursday, October 12 from 6-8pm at Martinis in downtown Burlington. It's sure to be fun night of sipping and stamping! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

MERRY PATTERNS CARD:

Hello there! I wanted to share this festive Christmas card that will be available to make at my Card Buffet coming up again in 2 weeks. It features the exclusive set Merry Patterns, and is only available through the end of October. You get this lovely stamp set for FREE when you host a Workshop with $300 in sales. You'll get this set in addition to the Stampin' Rewards when you host a SU! party.

I started with a Whisper White base and randomly stamped the branches with Old Olive ink. On top of that I added a layer of Merry Little Christmas DSP. I then wrapped a piece of Quilted Christmas Ribbon around the card and tied a bow. Next, I stamped the deer with Soft Suede ink onto a square of Whisper White Cardstock. On a scrap piece of cardstock, I inked up the sweater with Real Red ink and cut it out with my Paper Snips. I attached it to the deer with SNAIL. I added a piece of Real Red Cardstock behind the Whisper White with SNAIL as well. I added Dimensionals to the back of the Real Red Cardstock and adhered it over the ribbon, making sure to clear it.

I stamped the sentiment with Real Red ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and stamped the strip underneath it using one of the candle images with Old Olive ink. I attached the sentiment over the top with Dimensionals. Finally I added a pair of Metallic Enamel Shapes to finish it off.

LOTS OF LOVE CARD:

Hello there! Here's the last of this month's Card Buffet cards. I used the set Lots of Love for this card. I started with a Pear Pizzazz base and added a piece of Whole Lot of Lovely DSP to the top. I stamped the sentiment with Tangerine Tango ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and used the Lots of Labels Framelits to cut it out.

I then wrapped a piece of the lovely Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon around it. I lifted up one end and added some SNAIL to the back of the ribbon and adhered, and repeated for the other end. I tied a bow and attached it to the far left with a Glue Dot.

Next I cut out one of the flowers from the DSP and attached it to the ribbon with a couple of Glue Dots. I then stamped one of the flowers with Pool Party ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and cut it out with Paper Snips. I stamped a second flower, but before I stamped it I used a Sponge Dauber in Marina Mist ink to add a little depth to the center. I then cut out just the four petals. I curved the petals using a Bone Folder and added a Dimensional between the layers. I added 3 Black Rhinestones to the center and attached the flower on top of the leaves with another Dimensional.

It took a little time to construct the flower, but once that was done it came together in a snap:) That was the last of the new additions to this month's Card Buffet. I'll probably add a couple Christmas cards to the mix for next month. As I mentioned yesterday, the garage sale was a huge success, but it sure took a toll on this old lady body! I think today is going to require lots of ice, Tylenol & sitting:( But thankfully I can stamp while I do that:) Thanks so much for stopping by today!

AT HOME WITH YOU CARD:

Hello there! Just realized I forgot to post this yesterday. We threw a garage sale together really fast and was too tired to move yesterday. But we sold a ton of stuff and lots of my Stampin' Up! products found good homes:) I used the At Home with You Bundle, and saved 10% by buying them together:)

I had made a card similar to this a while back for a friend, but I made a few changes. I changed the sentiment on the door. You can scroll back a bit and find the original card and all the products I used.

I also changed the sentiment inside the door, although it's hard to tell with this awful photo!

As with the original, I left the inside blank and stamped the flower image in the corner. I have 1 last card to share with you tomorrow from my Card Buffet last week, and then I have tons more to share from all the new classes and events I have coming up. Stay tuned! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

PICK A PUMPKIN CARD:

Hello there! Here's another card we made at my Card Buffet last week. I used the sets Pick A Pumpkin and Labels to Love. I started with a Very Vanilla base and added a layer of Bundle of Love DSP on top. I added some SNAIL to the back of a piece of Gold Metallic-Edge Ribbon and added it on top.

I stamped the pumpkins with Cajun Craze & Calypso Coral ink, wiped off the stems & colored them with an Emerald Envy Marker. I stamped the gourd with Emerald Envy ink. I used the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits to cut them all out. I colored the sentiment with Emerald Envy & Calypso Coral Markers and stamped it onto Very Vanilla Cardstock. I used the Everyday Label to punch it out.

I cut out some Gold Foil pieces using the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits that are bundled with the Pick A Pumpkin set. I cut out the bottom piece using the Little Loves Framelits and attached it with 2 Glue Dots. I then added the tall pumpkin with SNAIL and the label with Dimensionals. I added the gourd with a Glue Dot and the small pumpkin with a Dimensional to the far right. I cut out a leaf from Emerald Envy Cardstock and tucked it behind with Liquid Tombow.

I added the gold pieces with Liquid Tombow as well and added a Very Vanilla Baker's Twine bow with a Glue Dot. This was a little time-consuming with all the die-cutting, but once that's done, it's a snap to put together. I still have a couple of cards to share, so make sure to stop back tomorrow. Thanks so much for coming by!

BASKET OF WISHES CARD:

Hello there! Here's another card we made last week at my Card Buffet featuring the set Basket of Wishes. I started with an Early Espresso base and cut out 3 leaves using the Leaflets Framelits. I trimmed 1/4" off of the edge and attached a strip of Old Olive Mini Chevron Ribbon to the inside edge of the card.

I then glued pieces of Coffee Break DSP to the backs of the cut-outs with Liquid Tombow. I covered the DSP with another piece of Early Espresso so it wasn't exposed. Next I stamped the basket & succulent image with Soft Suede ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and punched it out with the 2" Circle Punch, I think. I colored in the basket with a Blender Pen and the Soft Suede pad. I colored the succulents with Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz & Old Olive Markers. I went over the basket outline with an Early Espresso Marker.

I then stamped the banner with the set Bloomin' Love using Pear Pizzazz ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. I stamped the sentiment with Soft Suede ink and used the Large Numbers Framelits to cut it out. I added a few Glue Dots to the back of the circle and swirled some Copper Metallic Thread on it. I attached it to the base with a couple of Dimensionals vertically. I then added a strip of DSP from the Wood Textures DSP Stack with SNAIL, and tucked it underneath the circle.

I attached the banner with SNAIL on the left side and a Dimensional on the right. I finished it off with a few sequins from the Iridescent Assortment and attached them with tiny drops of Liquid Tombow.

I had a couple of newbies last week who had never stamped before and they tackled this card. It was a more advanced card and they both nailed it! I was kind of afraid I scared them off, but they're both in for next month! Stop back tomorrow for another fun project. Thanks so much for coming by:)

PAINTED HARVEST CARD:

Hello there! Back today with another quick & easy card we made at my Card Buffet last week. I used the Painted Harvest Bundle for this card and saved 10% by buying the stamp set & punch at the same time:) I started with a Soft Suede base and added a layer of Very Vanilla Cardstock. I stamped the 1st flower image with So Saffron ink and went over it with the 2nd flower image in Crushed Curry ink.

I then added the flower center with Soft Suede ink. Next I stamped the solid leaf image with Old Olive ink and then stamped over it with the line image using Always Artichoke ink. So easy and so much fun to create my own Designer Series Paper!

I stamped the sentiment with Soft Suede ink onto Crushed Curry Cardstock and flagged one end. I then wrapped some Old Olive Baker's Twine around it a couple of times, tied a bow and adhered banner with Dimensionals. I used the coordinating Leaf Punch to punch out a couple of leaves from Vellum Cardstock and tucked them under the banner with Glue Dots.

Such a lovely card considering how easy it was to put together!

Okay, so, some of you may know that I'm coming up on my 10 year Anniversary with Stampin' Up!, and I've decided that I'm going to work really hard this year to achieve the Incentive Trip to the Greek Isles. I sat in on a conference call last week to help me do what's necessary to achieve this dream. One of the first assignments was to clean & organize my space, which you can see desperately needed it! I've been working hard at getting several new classes & events lined up for October, so I'll be able to hit the ground running October 1. This was the fruits of that labor, lol.

It took me 3 days, but I got 'er done, and boy does it feel good! I cleaned out every drawer and shelf-even in the closet. Along the way I decided to box up everything that was retired, and that added up to about 20 boxes! So I decided to have a garage sale this week-end. So if you're in the Burlington, Iowa area you're going to want to check it out!

Part of my homework was to get a planner and get my schedule figured out. I was already ahead of the game and had ordered the SU! Love Today Planner a couple of weeks ago to make sure I could keep track of all the new classes & events that I've added. Now to purty it up:)

Finally, we were to make a vision board, so we could keep the goal in sight. I had a little help from Q:) He's determined that he's going on the boat with me, so he was an awesome little helper getting me organized:) We were to come up with a support system, and I have that area covered too!

I'll keep you posted on the progress and the events I have coming up. Until then, make sure to stop back tomorrow for another card we made last week. Thanks so much for coming by!

CREEP IT REAL FAVORS:

Hello there! Sorry I didn't get this posted yesterday. Apparently I was having too much fun cleaning my stamp room that I forgot! I made these fun little favors for my Card Buffet attendees using the set Creep It Real & the Test Tubes.

I wrapped a piece of Spooky Night DSP around each one and adhered with Tear & Tape. I then stamped the sentiment on Very Vanilla Cardstock using Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze & Basic Black ink. I flagged the bottom and used the 1/8" Handheld Circle Punch to punch a hole at the top.

I added a piece of Vintage Crochet Trim or a few Basic Rhinestone Jewels to each. I tied the tag to each Teat Tube with Basic Black Baker's Twine.

I stamped the cute little images with Basic Black ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock & used the 1" Circle Punch to punch them out. I then used a Sponge Dauber in Tranquil Tide, Pumpkin Pie, Smoky Slate & Rich Razzleberry ink to add color. I attached each to the tag with a Dimensional.

These were so much fun to make and came together in a snap! Let me know if you want to make some for the sweet little goblins in your life:) Stop back tomorrow for another card we made. Thanks so much for stopping by!

SEASONAL CHUMS CARD:

Hello there! Back today with another quick & easy card from my Card Buffet. I used the Seasonal Chums Bundle and saved 10% by buying them together! I started with a Whisper White base and added a piece of Merry Little Christmas DSP. I ran a strip of Pick a Pattern Washi Tape across it and added a piece of Striped Ribbon on top with Dimensionals.

I stamped the pumpkins with Early Espresso ink onto Pumpkin Pie Cardstock and used the Seasonal Tags Framelits to cut them out. I colored the face with an Early Espresso Marker and the leaves with a Lemon Lime Twist Marker. I stamped the sentiment with Early Espresso ink as well.

I punched a circle from Basic Black Cardstock using the 2 1/4" Circle Punch and attached the bottom pumpkin with SNAIL. I attached the top one with rolled Glue Dots. I used the framelits to cut the bats out of Basic Black Cardstock and attached them with Glue Dots.

I love this bundle as you can keep the images together to make adorable little tags, or cut them apart like I did here. There's a cute little deer and snowman with this set as well, so you'll be seeing lots more of it:) I've got another fun treat to share tomorrow, so make plans to stop back. Thanks so much for coming by!

CREEP IT REAL CARD:

Hello there! This was one of the designs at my Card Buffet last night using the fun set Creep It Real. I started with a Rich Razzleberry base and added a piece of Spooky Night DSP. I made a banner from a coordinating design and folded the top down at 1/4". I attached both pieces with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment with Rich Razzleberry ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I added a piece of Vintage Crochet Trim and attached it with a couple of Glue Dots. I then added the sentiment over the top with a couple of Dimensionals.

I then stamped the adorable little pumpkin with Basic Black Archival ink and punched him out with a 1" Circle Punch. I used a Sponge Dauber with Pumpkin Pie ink to color him in and attached it with a Dimensional. I finished it off with a few Black Rhinestone Jewels.

This is a really quick & easy card & perfect for beginner stampers. I was so excited to have a few new faces last night at my Card Buffet! I maybe should have started them on this one, but they jumped right in and made some more advanced cards. And they did an amazing job, especially considering they'd never stamped before! I hope I didn't scare them off and will see them again next month:) Make sure to stop back again tomorrow for another fun Halloween card. Thanks so much for coming by!
