HOT DIGGITY DOG CARD:

Hello again! Back with one final card from the current catalog. This is another CASE using the adorable set Hot Diggity Dog. If this card doesn't make you want the set, there's something wrong with you! I started with a Melon Mambo base and added a layer of It's My Party DSP. I made the tag with Whisper White Cardstock and the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

I stamped the cute little weiner with Soft Suede ink and cut him out with my Paper Snips. I stamped the body a second time with Melon Mambo ink, cut out the collar and glued it to the body using Liquid Tombow. I stamped his ear onto a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock, cut it out and attached with a Dimensional piece. The sentiment is stamped with Melon Mambo ink as well.

I used the retiring set Birthday Yay for the hat using Pumpkin Pie & Daffodil Delight inks. I cut it out and attached with Dimensionals. I added a piece of Botanical Gardens Washi Tape, and adhered the tag on top using Dimensionals. I made a bow out of Pumpkin Pie Cotton Ribbon and attached with a Glue Dot.

I finished it off with a few of the fun It's My Party Enamel Dots and a Basic Rhinestone Jewel on the collar. This was another quick & easy card to put together and is sure to put a smile on someone's face. You have until 12:50am tonight to get this set and any other retiring products. Don't wait though...things are selling out fast at this stage! Thanks again for stopping by today:)

BIG NEWS CARD:

Hello there! Back with another card made with the retiring set Big News. This is another CASEd card from the catalog, and I LOVE everything about it. I started with a Calypso Coral base ans added 2 designs from the Pretty Petals DSP Stack. I stamped the sentiment on Whisper White Cardstock using VersaMark and heat-embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. Yes, I used Whisper White even though the DSP is Very Vanilla! What is the world coming to? It just seemed to help the sentiment stand out a little more.

I attached the sentiment panel with Everyday Chic Washi Tape. I'm really going to miss this design:( I took a coordinating piece of DSP and cut out the flowers and leaves. I attached the bottom layers with Glue Dots and the top flowers have a Dimensional behind them.

I added a Linen Thread bow and scattered a few sequins around from the Gold Sequin Trim using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. Aside from being a little time-consuming cutting out the flowers and leaves, this card was super easy. Can't wait to make a bunch more for Farmer's Market:)

I'm heading out to enjoy this beautiful day with a bike ride, and then hopefully I'll get 1 more card shared today. Remember, this is the last day to order out of the current catalog. Go to www.lauramellinger.stampinup.net  and click on the Retirng List to get what you want before it's gone! Thanks so much for stopping by today:)

A WHOLE LOT OF LOVELY CARD:

Hello there! Happy Memorial Day to you. It started out to be a dreary day but it's beautiful out there now. Just got done with a bike ride and wanted to share this card made with the retiring Hostess set A Whole Lot of Lovely. I've been going through the catalog and picking samples that I wanted to duplicate before it's time to put it to bed. I started with a Mint Macaron base and used the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder with the help of the Big Shot. On top of that I added a layer of the gold pattern in the Neutral DSP Stack. I used the flower image with Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, Crushed Curry and the brand new Peekaboo Peach In Color for the background on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock.

Underneath the white panel I added a strip of Gold Fancy Foil Vellum. I cut a piece of Watermelon Wonder Dotted Lace Trim in half and adhered it to the vellum with Glue Dots. On top of that I added a strop of Gold Sequin Trim with Glue Dots as well. I attached the vellum to the card with Glue Dots on the stripes to keep them hidden.

I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and heat-embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. I used the 2" Circle Punch to cut it out and added a few Glue Dots to the back. I added some Gold Metallic Thread and attached it with Dimensionals. I added a few sequins and adhered them with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

Still got a few more ideas rolling around in my head, so I better get busy and try to knock out a few more cards before the new catalog goes live on Wednesday! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

HAPPY PATTERNS CARD:

Hello there! I have another card to share with some retiring products. I got the idea for this card on the SU! site. Theirs was way cuter but I didn't have everything they used, so I improvised. I started with a Bermuda Bay base and used one of the masks from the Happy Patterns Decorative Masks. I used a Sponge Dauber and a Bermuda Bay stamp pad. On top of that I added a Crushed Curry layer that I ran through the Big Shot with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.

Next I used another mask from the Happy Patterns pack and stamped the sentiment and dots with a dauber and a Melon Mambo pad. The birthday sentiment was made with a smaller alphabet on the original, but the smallest I had was a retired alphabet die called Go-Go Boots. I used Crushed Curry Cardstock and trimmed a bit off the tops so they didn't cover too much of the happy. I also used the set Crazy About You with Whisper White Craft ink onto Basic Black Cardstock. I used White Embossing Powder to emboss the sentiment and cut it out with Paper Snips.

The original design used a Project Life Kit that I didn't have for the circle halves and washi tape. I used the Everyday Adventure Card Collection that retired last year, but is still available on the Clearance Rack I think. I just used the 1" Circle Punch to cut a circle from one of the cards, cut it in half and adhered to the card with retired washi tape.

I discovered that the PL cards also work perfectly for the inside of the cards as well. I always have tons left over and don't know what to do with them. Just stamp your sentiment on one of them and you're all set! I love this sentiment from Pretty Thankful. I need to make a card with it as well and share before it goes away too:(

Only a few more days to share as many retiring products as I can, so I'm off to make some more:) Thanks so much for stopping by!

YOU'RE SO LOVELY POUCH:

Hello there! I wanted to share my Hostess gift I made this month using the You're So Lovely Kit. Actually I didn't use much from the kit for this project except the stencil because I didn't know what all I was going to need to make some engagement>shower>wedding cards with it. You can see some additional amazing projects that SU! came up with here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R695FJrkwms.  If this link doesn't work, go to www.stampinup.com and find the video dated April 27 or go to the Stampin'Up Youtube channel and look for the 'Treat Packaging Made with the You're So Lovely Project Kit'.

I used the stencil included with the kit to decorate an envelope with Mint Macaron ink and the fun sponge roller included. I also used the Birthday Bouquet DSP to decorate the flap and assembled as the video instructed. I put some chocolate in a Gusseted Cellophane Bag that I trimmed the top off of, placed a Basic Black banner on the front, and stapled it shut. I tied a piece of the Two-Tone Baker's Twine around it and tied a bow.. I used the coordinating stamp set You're So Lovely and stamped the wreath with Versamark onto Whisper White Cardstock~or you can use one of the tags included. I added Gold Embossing Powder, heat-embossed it and used the 2 1/2" Circle Punch to punch it out. I then used the 1 3/4" Circle Punch to punch out a piece of Birthday Bouquet DSP and adhered it to the center of the tag.

I then cut out the butterfly using the Big Shot along with the Butterflies Thinlits using a Gold Foil Sheet. I adhered it on top of the DSP with a Dimensional and cut out the flower image with Paper Snips. I adhered it to the butterfly with Glue Dots and added a few Pearl Jewels.

Finally I used the Hostess set Silhouettes & Script for the sentiment using Basic Black Archival ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and cut it out. Hopefully my Hostess this month will like it:)

Here's one of the cards I made following the kit instructions using Watermelon Wonder ink.

Everything to make this card is included.

It's probably hard to see, but I did also add a little extra bling to the die-cut with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

I thought it would be fun to use the glassine bags included as the envelopes for something a little fun & different. That gives you 12 envelopes left over to make the treat pouches with:)

The fun gold banner paper clips come with the kit as well.

Here's another design made with Mint Macaron ink.

And a third option made with Wisteria Wonder ink.

Make sure you check out the video on the SU! site or on Youtube, and order your own You're So Lovely Kit before it's gone for good on May 31st. Thanks so much for stopping by!

SUNBURST SAYINGS CARD:

Hello there! With wedding season coming up I'm focusing on engagement, shower and wedding cards to make for Farmer's Market. The Shine On Specialty DSP works perfectly for this engagement card. I used the set Sunburst Sayings with the coordinating Sunburst Thinlits Die. You only have a week left to save 15% when you buy these 2 products as a Bundle. I started with a Whisper White base and added the DSP off center.

On top of that I added a layer of Vellum Cardstock cut out with the Sunburst Thinlits Die. I used the Flower Fair Framelits to cut out the flower image using Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper and added some Silver Metallic Thread to the back with Glue Dots. I want to introduce you to one of the brand new In Colors~Sweet Sugarplum. I used the cardstock to stamp the sentiment on using Whisper White Craft ink and heat-embossed it with White Embossing Powder. I cut it out with my Paper Snips, and used the same color for the banner piece on Whisper White Cardstock.

I made the ring by punching out a circle from a Silver Foil Sheet using the 1/2" Circle Punch. I then used one of the smallest circle dies from the Circles Collection Framelits to form the ring. I used a q-tip to dab some Whisper White Craft Ink onto one of the gems and added some bling with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. I cut it out with Paper Snips and glued it to the ring with Liquid Tombow. I used a Dimensional piece behind the gem and used Liquid Tombow to adhere the ring to the glimmer paper. I added the 'Shine' with Dimensionals and Glue Dots to add the banner sentiment.

I attached the glimmer paper with Dimensionals and tucked a piece of Blushing Bride Sequin Trim underneath  the banner with Glue Dots. I scattered a few extra sequins around with Glue Dots and used the Owl Builder Punch to make the tiny hearts. If you have a soon-to-be bride, I have the perfect card for you:) Thanks so much for stopping by!

SEND ME SOARING CARD:

Hello there! I'm back today with another oldie but goodie. I used the long-retired set Send Me Soaring to make my dad a Father's Day card with. He just turned 83 a couple of weeks ago and he's been on my mind a lot lately. When we were kids he'd take us to fly kites. I even remember him building box kites at his work bench. So many happy memories and I knew this was the perfect set to use:) I started with a Hello Honey base and added a layer of Botanicals Gardens DSP on top-both of which will be retiring soon.

I stamped the clouds with Whisper White Craft ink onto Soft Sky Cardstock and heat-embossed them with White Embossing Powder. I finally broke down about a month ago and got the Rotary Addition for the Stampin' Trimmer, so naturally it showed up on the Retiring List right aftewards, sigh...I was able to get some replacement blades as well before they sold out of the Small Scallop & Tiny Wave. Actually, one of them is still available but the Rotary Addition & Cutting mat are gone. I wish I'd have gotten them sooner~it made the adorable trim that I attached to the back of the Soft Sky using Tip Top Taupe Cardstock.

I stamped the kites with Chocolate Chip, Hello Honey & Calypso Coral inks, cut them out with my paper Snips and attached them onto Chocolate Chip tails with Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment with Chocolate Chip onto Very Vanilla Cardstock and stapled it with the Handheld Stapler & Mini Staples. I added a couple of Glue Dots to a piece of Hello Honey Striped Ribbon and stuck it underneath the Soft Sky panel. I finished it off with a pair of Crushed Curry Candy Dots, which will be going away as well:(

I'm sorry to use retired sets 2 days in a row, but I had to do airplanes and kites for my dad. There's a new set coming out in the brand new catalog called Swirly Bird that has a kite image. You can check it out on Pinterest. Thanks so much for stopping by:)

SKY IS THE LIMIT CARD:

Hello there! I wanted to share this birthday card that I made for my dad's birthday a couple of weeks ago. I used the retired SAB set Sky Is The Limit, which was perfect for him:) I started with a Lost Lagoon base and added a piece of DSP from the Neutrals DSP Stack. On top of that I added a layer of DSP from the Going Places DSP Stack.

On top of that I added a layer of Sahara Sand Cardstock that I ran through the Big Shot using the World Traveler Embossing Folder. Next, I punched out a circle from a coordinating design from the Going Places DSP Stack, using the 2" Circle Punch, I think. I stamped the plane onto a piece of Lost Lagoon Cardstock using Basic Black Archival ink and cut it out with my Paper Snips. I used the Owl Builder Punch to make the propeller using Vellum Cardstock and the 1/16" Handheld Circle Punch to punch a hole in the center of the vellum & propeller. I attached it using a Mini Brad. I added a piece of Lost Lagoon Striped Ribbon with Tear & Tape.

I used the Cupcake Builder Punch to pop out a couple of clouds using Very Vanilla Cardstock and added them to the circle with Glue Dots. I attached the plane on top with Dimensionals and attached the circle to the card base with Dimensionals as well. I stamped the sentiment with Basic Black Archival ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock and tucked it underneath the circle.

As I mentioned, the stamp set Sky Is the Limit is already retired, and most everything else on the card will be retiring at the end of the month as well. The Going Places DSP Stack, World Traveler Embossing Folder, Cupcake Builder Punch, Mini Brads, Lost Lagoon Cardstock & Ribbon and many circle punches will be going away May 31. Contact me to get what you want before they're gone for good! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

PARTY PANTS CARD:

Hello there! Back with another graduation card. I used the retired SAB set Party Pants for this one. I found the layout on the SU! site but changed things up a bit. I started with a Tip Top Taupe base and added a layer of Whisper White Cardstock on top.

I stamped the background with Bermuda Bay ink and the string & sentiment with Tip Top Taupe. The tassels were stamped with with Cucumber Crush, Crushed Curry & Watermelon Wonder ink. I used the 1 3/4" Circle Punch, I think to punch out the circle.

I adhered a Window Sheet to the back of the circle with Liquid Tombow and added border pieces from Dimensionals around it to make a shaker card. I filled the circle with sequins from the Metallics and Brights Sequin Assortments. I also added Crushed Curry confetti made with the Cupcake Builder Punch. I took the backing off of the Dimensionals and added a piece of Watermelon Wonder Cardstock to the back to contain all the confetti & sequins.

I added a piece of Cherry On Top Washi Tape to the side and attached the Whisper White piece to the bade with Dimensionals. To finish it off I wrapped a piece of Crushed Curry around the top and tied a bow. I think this was the last of my graduation cards...but I could be wrong. I may knock out another Father's Day card or two and then I'll switch gears to wedding cards. Make sure to check back:) Thanks so much for stopping by!

BRAVO CARD:

Hello there! Here's another graduation card that I thought I posted a long time ago. I used the set Bravo, which will be retiring at the end of the month. I started with a Bermuda Bay base and stamped the background with one of the Hearts & Stars Masks using Bermuda Bay ink as well.

On top of that I added a layer of Whisper White Cardstock and colored the sentiment with Smoky Slate, Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay and Basic Black Markers. I stamped the 'You' with Crushed Curry ink onto the same cardstock. I stuck a piece of the retired SAB glitter ribbon onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock and used the star from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack to punch it out.

I added a piece of retired washi tape to the top and stapled a piece of Silver 1/8" Ribbon to the card with the Handheld Stapler & Mini Staples.

There's lots of fun sentiments included in this set so I used a bunch of them on the inside using VersaMark.

I had some old open-end envelopes left so I thought I'd make some tall cards to go with them, plus they'll be just the right size to hold some cash for a lucky graduate:) Make sure to swing by tomorrow for another one. Thanks so much for stopping by:)
