LAST CALL!:

Hello there!I wanted to share my version of My Paper Pumpkin with you this month. The kit was called Pedal Praise and is a perfect set to send off Summer. I added a few embellishments including Linen Thread, Bermuda Bay Cardstock, Curly Label Punch, Candy Dot Bases and Regals Candy Dots. I also used the Big Shot along with the Chalk Talk Framelits. I popped up the top layer with Dimensionals.

Everything else was included in the kit:the fun Bermuda Bay polka dot cardstock, envelopes, pennant and Crushed Curry stickers. The bike and sentiment stamps, and a Bermuda Bay and Baked Brown Sugar Spot.

This is what the sample looked like. Cute, but a little too plain Jane for me. Here's a couple of other takes on it...

I just added a bit of Bermuda Bay Taffeta Ribbon and a Naturals Button and it was enough to give it a little spunk. I liked that this kit would work great for a guy.

I wanted to remind you that today is the last day to sign up for My Paper Pumpkin and get the first 2 months for only $10. It's a great way to give it a try and see what you think. Go to www.mypaperpumpkin.com to get all the details and remember to put me as your demonstrator:) Thanks so much for stopping by. Stay cool!

BATS ABOUT YOU TREAT HOLDER:

Hello there! Another quickie for you today. I made this little sucker for my Hostess this month. I used the Petite Purse Die with Basic Black Cardstock. Once it was assembled, I added a pair of wings made with the Circles Collection Framelits, and used the 1" Circle Punch to notch out the bottoms.

I added the sentiment from Halloween Hello and added a Calypso Coral matt and Baker's Twine. I used the Petite Pennants Builder Punch for the fangs and added a pair of googlie eyes. I stuffed him with 7 Mini Rolos-I tried to squeeze in 9, but they wouldn't fit-sorry Jean!

He was a fun little guy to make and you could knock out quite a few of these in no time.

Here's why I've been missing in action...

My good buddy Dianne cut out 250ish of these for me and now I'm assembling them.

This is my poor hubby's job.

He thinks I'm insane...

Who am I kidding? We all know he's right!
Well, back to my bags...just wanted to let you know what I've been up to. Thanks so much for stopping by!

WEDDING STUFF:

Hello there! I just wanted to pop in quick and share some of the wedding prep with you. I shared the invitation and favor awhile back, but didn't have the insides done at the time. I got almost 200 of these cranked out and in the mail this past week.

I've already been getting RSVP's back and it's so exciting to see who's planning to attend the big day!

They had fun with their engagement pictures and the photographer did a great rush job of getting these done in time for me to get them in the mail. I didn't realize how white the picture was going to be-I don't know what I thought 'black & white' was going to be, but it wasn't gonna do. So I messed around with it a little and ended up stamping over the photo with the En Francais background stamp that was stamped off in So Saffron. It was just enough to get rid of the stark white:)

Here's a picture of the invitation and the favor in case you missed it. I'm in the process of making 250-300 favors. My good buddy Dianne is cutting out the tops for me as we speak. I'd best be getting back to work but wanted to share one more thing with you...

I have a customer friend who just became a thirty-one consultant. I know how hard it is to get started so I wanted to help her out. I'm not really a bag lady myself, but my hubby saw the Collegiate stuff and thought it was pretty cool. I thought, hey, we could get started on our Christmas shopping and help Michelle out at the same time. Surprisingly, he said okay:) These range from $35-$55 which includes the logo and phrase. You can plug in your team to see what they'll look like here: www.thirtyonegifts.com/collegiate-spirit. Let me know if you're interested in ordering any or have any questions. Some of the items retire at the end if the month, so if you're interested, let me know soon. Well, back to work I go. Thanks so much for stopping by today!

HELLO AGAIN!

I'm baaack! I've been feeling guilty leaving you hanging for so long, so I've got several things to share with you today:) Fist off, I wanted to share this month's My Paper Pumpkin with you. This adorable banner kit came to my door earlier this month!

It came with 4 different banners. I made mind double-sided, but you could easily get some extra skewers and make 4 different ones.

They could work for a girl or a guy, child or adult...perfect for any occasion!

Here's what's on the other side-equally as cute!

Unfortunately, this kit is no longer available, but you can sign up and you'll get next month's kit;

I think this was a bargain for $14.99-especially considering that everything was pre-cut and ready to go. It's worth it just for the surprise every month. But I 've got some exciting news for you...from now until August 31, if you subscribe to MPP, you're going to get your first 2 months for only $10! And, if you sign up TODAY, you'll get in on the the August kit that will start shipping on the 15th. If you wait to subscribe til after the 10th of the month, you won't get it til next month. So make sure you do it today! Go to www.mypaperpumpkin.com to check it out or sign up. Also make sure to plug my name in as your demonstrator:) Don't miss out this month!

Okay, I need to back up a little bit. Last time I left off with a card like this made for a girl. I said it would be pretty easy to change it up for a guy, so here you go. I used the sets Yippee Skippee and Make A Cake. I used the Chalk Talk Framelits for the tag along with the Denim Ribbon. I used a Baked Brown Sugar base, and added Etcetera DSP along with a strip of Epic Day Washi Tape. I used the Night of Navy Stitched Ribbon and Woodgrain Embossing Folder. The cake is Calypso Coral Cardstock and ink and the sentiment is in Old Olive.

I FINALLY got around to making the projects form the St. Louis Regionals, you know the one when I was sick as a dog:( I was hoping to get together with my best bud Jamie to workon these, but we couldn't get it to work out. At least we got to do the Convention M&T's together:) I used the stamp sets Clockworks and One In A Million. Neither set was ever on my wishlist, but now that I have them and have worked with them, I've grown quite fond of both.

It was fun to use the 1" Circle Punch to cut the knotches in the side-fun and different!

For this card, I used the Simply Scored to add the background design, and then sanded it a bit to bring out the texture-too cool! The colors on the card are Basic Grey, Pool Party, Gumball Green, Calypso Coral and Crushed Curry. The original design was made with More Mustard:(, but Crushed Curry was a good substitute:)

The flower was made my punching out 3 flowers with the Fancy Flower Punch, spritzing them with alcohol, scrunching them up, letting them dry and layering them. I love how the Vintage Facteded Buttons feflect all the yummy colors in thes card. The flags were scored at 1/4" with the Simply Scored and tucked under the flower.

Well I hate to keep it short and sweet, but I've got 200 wedding invitations to assemble, and less than a week to do it! For those of you who have offered to help, I may be giving you a holla this week if I don't get very far this week-end. If not with the invitations, I'll definitely need help with the 300 some favors. You may not want to answer your phones! This will have to tide you over for awhile until I get time to do some more creating. Thanks so much for stopping by!:)

BACK TO SCHOOL THERMOS:

Hello there! Thanks to my sweet nephew, we got this importing pictures business finally figured out-I use the term 'we' loosely! And just in time for this month's Paper Crafters Sampler!

Here's a little snippet of my project this month. It's big enough to hold a large bag of Starbucks coffee that you could send to your college student during finals week or perfect for a favorite teacher to help her get through Parent/Teacher Conferences!

To see all the other samples for this month, click on the Paper Crafters Sampler button to the right. For a minimum subscription, you'll get several fun projects each month. Click on each Design Team member's photo and it will take you to their blog, which will give you a sample of each of their projects for this month. Happy Prelude to Fall! Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll be back later with some more projects to share with you!

So Sorry!

Hello there! Unfortunatley I have some bad news for you. I've got several projects to share with you, but I can't get my photos to import to my computer.  So, I'm going to take that as a sign that the good Lord is telling me I need to get working on wedding invitations! I was going to take September off from the 'Kits/Cards To Go' anyway, but it looks like I'm going to have to skip out on August as well. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience, but it has probably worked out for the best. I would have probably been working around the clock to get everything done-and I'm not quite as young as I used to be, and now I'm crippled! I'll be popping in to share projects with you as soon as we can get this technical crap figured out, but I won't have kits for the next 2 months.

And for a bit of good news! I'm going to be starting Card Nights again in the fall. It will be 1 or 2 nights at our church fellowship hall starting in October hopefully. I'm waiting to hear back from the church for dates, but I'll keep you posted.

I've got lots of goodies from the new Holiday Catalog that I'm excited to share with you, so make sure to keep checking back. I'll be up and running soon, I hope...in more ways than one! Thanks so much for stopping by!
