Hello there! Back today with another project using the Best Catch stamp set and coordinating Catch of the Day Dies. I love how versatile this stamp set is. It works great for Father's Day, masculine birthdays and it makes a perfect retirement card! I also love how versatile the In Color Scalloped Linen Ribbon is...more on that in a minute:)
I started with a Terracotta base and added a layer of Crumb Cake Cardstock. On top of that I added a layer of the In Color DSP in Pretty Peacock. I then inked up the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder with Whisper White Craft ink and ran it through the Big Shot with a piece of Early Espresso Cardstock. I love how the ink makes this amazing texture pop a little more.
I love how you can get so many different options with the new In Color Ribbon. At first glance it looks kind of feminine with the scalloped edge. But if you trim off the scalloped edge, you're left with a linen ribbon. I pulled some of the threads to give it the awesome rustic texture that works perfect for this masculine card. I folded it in half and secured it with Glue Dots. I added the Eary Espresso Cardstock on top with Dimensionals.
I then stamped the images with Early Espresso ink onto Crumb Cake Cardstock. I cut them all out with the Catch of the Day Dies. I adhered the fisherman and basket with Glue Dots and attached the hat with Mini Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment with Early Espresso ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and stamped off some of the background texture. I used the Stitched Nested Lables to add the stitching at the bottom.
I finished it off with a Sail Away Trinket that I tucked underneath the hat with a Glue Dot. I am loving the addition of all the new In Color products and how well they work for both masculine and feminine projects. Stay tuned for a fun treatholder that coordinates perfectly with this card tomorrow! Thanks so much for stopping by:)
