ACORNY THANK YOU VANILLA CARD:

Hello there! Looks like it's shaping up to be another gorgeous day out there:) And speaking of gorgeous...I love the soft muted colors on this card~butta! It features the set Acorny Thank You with a little back up from Seasonal Snapshot, one of the Project Life stamp sets. As soon as I saw the stitched images I knew I had to have it. Is it bad if I only use those? I started with a Very Vanilla base and stamped the top stitched image in Tip Top Taupe, and the bottom in Hello Honey.

Next, I stamped the leaf image with Hello Honey as well, stamping off on one. I added a piece of Sweet Li'l Things Washi Tape, which was a perfect complement to the card. I've been using alot of darker, fall colors so I thought I'd change it up a bit and stamped the acorn in Mint Macaron. I added the wad of Metallic Silver Thread again to the back using Liquid Tombow and attached over the washi tape. It's such a fun technique~give it a try if you haven't:)

I stamped the sentiment with Calypso Coral ink and used the Word Window Punch to pop it out. I then trimmed the ends and adhered. I added some sequins from the Metallic Sequin Assortment using Glue Dots, and that's it! Another easy peasy card:)

ACORNY THANK YOU TALL CARD:

Hello there! Back again with another card made with the set Acorny Thank You. I used to shy away from making these longer cards because the envelopes we had for them retired, and then it hit me...duh, I can make my own now in any size I want~kinda scary it's taken me this long! I started with a Hello Honey base and added a layer of Farmer's Market DSP. I just got this paper yesterday, but I got a migraine so I had to wait to today to play. Anyway, I love it:) I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink and before I attached the DSP to the card base I ran a piece of In Color Washi Tape down the side.

I stamped the acorns with Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon, Always Artichike & Chocolate Chip ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock. I punched them all out with the Acorn Builder Punch naturally:) I added some Liquid Tombow to the back of the center acorn and attached a big wad of Gold Metallic Thread to it. I then adhered them all with Dimensionals.

I finished it off with a Brights Button adorned with a piece of Linen Thread.

I'm not used to photographing these taller cards, so I didn't do a very good job, but it's really rich-looking in real life. Hello there! I'm so excited to share this little cutie with you made with the set Acorny Thank You and the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die. I used Soft Suede Cardstock along with the Big Shot and Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits. I used the Hamburger Box Die for his cheeks and trimmed the heart die as shown. I used the Paper-piercing Mat & Tool to poke a couple of holes and ran a piece of Linen Thread through, knotting both ends. I attached his cheeks with Dimensionals. I used the Tree Builder Punch in Soft Suede for his nose and adhered with a Glue Dot. I added a pair of googlie eyes and an acorn cap made with Crumb Cake ink and the Acorn Builder Punch.

I used the retired table setting die for his tail, but you could easily use a circle punch and cut the spiral yourself. I attached it using a Glue Dot. I stamped the tag with Soft Suede ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and punched it out with the whole acorn image part of the punch. I stamped it again using Crumb Cake ink and used the acorn top image to pop out the top only~you get both shapes in 1 punch! I used Linen Thread to tie the tag to the handle and to make the bow.

PRIMITIVE HOWL-O-WEEN TREAT CARD #2:

Hello there! Back again with another primitive card for you made with the set Howl-o-ween Treat. I started with a Basic Black base and added a piece of Sweet Li'l Things DSP that I paper-pierced with the Essentials Paper-piercing Template, Mat & Tool. I distressed the edges with my Paper Snips and used a Sponge Dauber in Crumb Cake ink to age it. I added faux stitching using a Basic Black Project Life Journaling Pen.

I cut out the pumpkin using the Ovals Framelits and Cajun Craze Cardstock. I used Soft Suede for his nose and Always Artichichoke for the stem. I used Crumb Cake for the fence and used the Hardwood Background Stamp in Crumb Cake ink to add texture. I used Basic Black Cardstock for the crow using the Bird Builder Punch and Hello Honey Cardstock for his beak. I used the Large Oval Punch for the moon. I added small black circles made with the Owl Builder Punch under his googlie eyes.

I used the Washi Tape Punch in Crumb Cake for the sign and fenceposts and used the Paper-piercing Mat & Tool to poke holes in the posts. I colored Mini Brads with a black Sharpie and attached the posts with Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped with Basic Black Archival ink. I finished it off with a Linen Thread bow.

I kinda thought I was done with Halloween and going to move on to Thanksgiving, but maybe I'm not ready yet.

My father-in-laws birthday was Saturday and he really makes 84 look good! Our newspaper featured an article about him and his volunteer work announcing high school football for 41 years! You couldn't pay me to sit through 1 game, and they didn't pay him to sit through 41 years worth of games, lol. They found a treasure in him:)

I found a long frame and covered the backing with Basic Grey Cardstock. I carefully adhered the newspaper to the cardstock with SNAIL. I then made a banner using retired Elegant Eggplant DSP and the Banners Framelits. I stamped the letters in Elegant Eggplant with a retired alphabet and punched them out with a 1 1/4" Circle Punch. I added a Basic Grey border underneath using a 1 3/8" Circle Punch. I attached them with Dimensionals. I used the Paper-piercing Mat & Tool to poke holes through the tops and strung Whisper White Baker's Twine through. I made a medallion using Basic Grey, Elegant Eggplant & Basic Black Cardstock and added an Antique Brad.

I found an image of the mascot and printed it off. I cut off the grey part, traced around it onto Basic Grey Cardstock and cut it out. I repeated the process with Elegant Eggplant Cardstock and adhered it to the Basic Grey with Liquid Tombow. There was some advertising at the bottom, so I covered it with retired DSP.

He was really happy and honored with the birthday present, and said he couldn't be more proud...and I said no, we couldn't be more proud of you:)  I have a really fun project to share again tomorrow and you're not gonna wanna miss out, so make sure to stop back! Thanks so much for coming by:)

TOMBSTONE BOXES:

Hello there! Sorry I never made it back to post this yesterday~the day got away from me. I love the Tiny Treat Boxes from the Happy Haunting Suite in the Holiday Catalog, and wanted to make some for my little goblins:)

I assembled one of the Tiny Treat Boxes, but put the opening to the back. I cut a piece of Happy Haunting DSP and ran it through the Big Shot using the Cutie Pie Thinlits to get the scallop edge for the girls. I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits for the jagged edge for the boys.

I used various sentiments from the stamp sets A Little Something, Happy Scenes, Merry Everything and this month's Wickedly Sweet Treat Paper Pumpkin. I stamped the sentiments with Whisper White Craft ink onto Basic Grey Cardstock and used the Note Tag Punch to pop out 2 tags for each box. I stamped both sides of the tag and sandwiched them together using Dimensionals. Then I just simply slid the top tag into the box top slit.

When adhereing the DSP, I lined it up the edge of the box, making sure not to cover up the slit so the tag could slide in easily. I cut small sections of a Spider Web Doily and attached behind Into the Woods Cotton Ribbon & Rich Razzleberry Cotton Ribbon. I finished them off with a spider from Howl-o-ween Treat in Basic Black and Rich Razzleberry ink. I cut them out with the Boo To You Framelits and attached with a Dimensional.

These came together super quick and they'll be a hit with the moms as they don't hold a lot of candy~win-win:) I've got one project left to share, so make sure to stop back tomorrow. Thanks so much for coming by:)

PRIMITIVE HOWL-O-WEEN TREAT CARD:

Hello there! I think this may be my most favorite card I've ever made. I love all things primitive, but apparently SU! doesn't, lol, so I had to get creative:) I started with a Crumb Cake base and added some DSP which worked really well. I used Happy Haunting and Sweet Li'l Things. I used the Essentials Paper-piercing Template, Mat & Tool to poke holes around the edges and used a Basic Black Project Life Journaling Pen to make a faux blanket stitch.

I used various framelits and punches for each shape and used the retired distressing tool around the edges. I used Whisper White Craft ink with a Sponge Dauber for the cat, and Soft Suede ink to add some age to the others. I also stamped each shape with the Hardwood background stamp with Soft Suede ink. For the cat I used Basic Black Cardstock with the Banner Framelits and rounded the bottom with my Paper Snips. I added a Pumpkin Pie nose that I punched out with the Tree Punch and trimmed it down a bit. For the pumpkin I used Tangelo Twist Cardstock with the new Square Pillow Box Thinlits and rounded the corners. I used Soft Suede Cardstock for the stem and nose using the Tree Punch again and the candy cane die for the stem. I used the Journaling Marker to draw his mouth.

For the star I used Hello Honey Cardstock and the Stars Framelits, again using my Paper Snips to create a primitive star. I thread 3 sequins from the Brights Assortment onto Linen Thread, tied knots on both ends and adhered with Glue Dots. For the moon I used Crumb Cake Cardstock and the Large Oval Punch to make a skinny moon. I tied a Linen Thread bow around it and added stars from the Metalllic Sequins Asssortment and used them for the eyes as well. I attached all the shapes with Dimensionals and used the set Howl-o-ween Treat for the ssentiment in Basic Black Archival ink.

Are there any other primitive fans out there? I wish SU! would give us a little bit of this, but for now, I'll just have to make my own. I've got a couple of projects left, so make sure to swing by tomorrow. Thanks so much for stopping by:)

I found the idea for this card on the SU! site and wanted to share a super quick & easy card...for a change:) I started with a Very Vanilla base and added the Sweet Li'l Things Washi Tape at the bottom. I then added the In Color Washi Tape on top, overlapping a hair. I cut the top half off of a piece of Mint Macaron Dotted Lace Trim and adhered it over the washi tape using Tear & Tape.

I stamped the acorn in Soft Suede onto Very Vanilla Cardstock, and used the awesome Acorn Builder Punch to cut it out. I attached it with a couple of Dimensionals and added a pair of Into the Woods Elements. I added a Linen Thread bow to the acorn with a dot of Liquid Tombow and added a few sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment with Glue Dots. To finish it off, I added some splatter using a Stampin' Spritzer filled 3/4 with rubbing alcohol and 20 drops of Daffodil Delight Refill ink. Instead of spraying it, I unscrewed it and took the plunger(is that what it's called?) out and tapped it onto my finger. I then repeated it with an Aqua Painter filled with early Espresso ink and tapped the brush end on my finger.
