COFFEE BREAK CLASS:

Hello there! I wanted to share the projects that we made at me Coffee Break class yesterday, which ended up pretty much being a disaster, lol. It was definitely a learning process and I know what NOT to do next time:) Obviously I wanted to do a coffee theme, and we have 2 different coffee sets, so I figured that's perfect. I'll have one half of the table use one, the other half use the other. When they magically all get done at the same time, we'll just switch projects:) Well I didn't take into account that both projects used the same Coffee Cups Framelits:( Mistake #1.

When I got to the coffee house to set up I thought to myself, this table looks bigger than I remembered-we'll be in good shape. Well the room got really small with 9 women crammed into it, so I knew then there was going to be no moving from 1 project to the next:( Mistake #2.

I'm a wood-mount gal and so I'm used to having my stamps all ready to go when I pick them up. I should have had a lot more blocks there so more people could have been stamping instead of waiting for the few blocks I brought to free up:( Mistake #3.

I was so happy to have 1 brand new stamper there, and I was able to walk her through all the steps. She did an amazing job, and I kept reassuring her it wasn't usually this chaotic. She was very sweet and said she had fun. I hope I didn't scare her away:)

For these projects I used the Coffee Cafe Bundle from the Annual Catalog, and the Merry Cafe stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.

I think the best part of the class may have been these adorable little favors. I found some mini coffee cups on Etsy and covered them with Coffee Break DSP.

I cut out images from one of the sheets and added them to the cups, along with the Corrugated Elements, Subtles Enamel Shapes and Baker's Twine.

I added the fun little splash stick to the lid with the Trim Your Stocking Thinlits. I glued the heart onto a strip of cardstock and stuck it into the slit in the cup. The cuteness factor of these fun little favors may have redeemed me with these ladies:) No actually, they are just an awesome bunch of friends who know we all make mistakes:) Thanks so much for stopping by:)

CREEP IT REAL TREATHOLDERS:

Hello there! This has been one crazy busy rollercoaster of a ride month! I finished up my last event of the month this morning. It did not go as smoothly as I'd rehearsed it in my mind, but we made it through, lol. I have had 4 events, a Team Meeting and an in-home Workshop, which I haven't done in over 5 years! I realized I haven't posted anything from most of these events, so I've got some catching up to do! The idea for these sweet little treatholders came from my friend Traci at the Workshop last week:)

I gave these to my downline at my Team Meeting the other night. I'm not going to go into detail of how I made them because I just don't have the mental capability, haha, but I used the set Creep it Real from the Holiday Catalog. I just slid a sliver of Spooky Night DSP into a 2x8 Cello Bag and added mini Reeses PB cups inside with these sweet little faces punched out using a 1" Circle Punch.

I'm so happy to announce that I surpassed my sales goal for the month and am super excited to be adding an awesome new member to my team! I want to thank each and every one of you who have helped me with sales, attending events, and the amazing encouragement you give me! I'm so thankful for each & every one of you:) I'll be sharing lots more so make sure to stop back. Thanks so much for coming by!

STAMP- A- STACK!

Hello there! I have my Stamp-A-Stack coming up on Friday, October 27th. Join me for this fun event where you'll leave with a stack of 20 hand-stamped Christmas cards!

You'll make 4 of this lovely card featuring the Labels to Love stamp set and the coordinating Everyday Label Punch. I love the untraditional color scheme of Smoky Slate & Pool Party.

You'll make 4 of this design, inspired from the Artisan Design Team, using the Carols of Christmas Bundle. The simplicity of this card will allow you to knock these out quickly.

Here's the third design that you'll also make 4 of. It features the Hang Your Stocking stamp set and coordinating Christmas Stockings Thinlits. You'll also get to play with the Merry Little Christmas DSP:)

I was inspired by a design on Pinterest and came up with this card using the classic Lovely As A Tree stamp set. You'll make 4 of this lovely card as well.

I was so happy to see this sweet little gingy carried over in the Annual Catalog. You'll make 4 of these sweet cards made with Cookie Cutter Christmas and the Cupcake Cutouts Framelits.

Invite a friend and make plans to attend this fun event. Meet at First Christian Church on Friday, October 27th from 3-8 pm. I'll take care of supper for you and have plenty of yummy treats and drinks as well. The cost for this fun-filled day is $50, which includes 20 Christmas cards with envelopes, supper & snacks, and Door Prize Drawings. I'll draw a name for a prize EVERY HOUR, so your chances are good! I need to get everything ordered and prepped, so please RSVP by this FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20th! Remember, if you bring a new friend, you each get to pick out a surprise! I hope to hear from you soon:) Thanks so much for stopping by!

PICK A PUMPKIN MINI PIZZA BOX:

Hello there! Here's the second project we'll be making tomorrow night at TNT Tuesday! It's the adorable Mini Pizza Box featuring the Eclipse Technique with a little twist. I stacked the die cut for a Two Tiered effect.. Make plans to attend tomorrow and make this adorable treat holder!

I intended to get this project made and posted last week, but my dad died a week ago today. As you can imagine it was a busy & exhausting & difficult week:(

He had a massive stroke in May and was working hard to get better, but there was just too much damage done, and he'd been declining the past couple of months.

He was in a care facility an hour away, and even after placing him in Hospice 6 weeks ago, we couldn't get him back home:( It was getting harder and harder to go see him-so painful to see him in that condition. I'd cry the whole way over and the whole way back. He never complained but the nurses said he was probably in quite a bit of pain:( I'm just so thankful the good Lord took him and didn't allow him to suffer anymore.

I kept this beautiful arrangement because it's so sunny and makes me happy to look at it, and it smells amazing:) I'm also so thankful that his mind never really recovered enough for him to realize how truly awful his quality of life was. He thought he worked there, God love him:) I've visited him at the cemetary a couple of times since we laid him to rest Friday and his picture was still there. Kind of makes me think I'm running into him when I'm out & about:)

Please let me know ASAP if you want to attend if you haven't already. I'll be prepping kits tonight, so let me know soon:)

You'll learn how to master the Eclipse Technique and make this lovely card as well. You'll get 2 cards with supplies needed, step by step instructions and a space for a sample of the technique. The cost of the class is $15 or FREE with a $25 order. The class works perfectly with the Memories & More Kraft Album & Pocket Pages-which can be part of your order to get the class for free. The TNT Tuesday! Class meets at First Christian Church from 6-8 tomorrow. I hope to hear from you SOON! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

TNT TUESDAY! CLASS:

Hello there! I'm holding my first TNT TUESDAY! Class this week! It stands for Tips & Techniques. I decided to demonstrate the Eclipse Technique, as it is so popular right now.

I designed the projects to work with the Memories & More Album and Pocket Pages. Each month I'll give each attendee 2 cards with an explanation of the technique and supplies needed. We 'll make a small sample of the technique as a reference. And we'll make a full size card featuring that month's technique. We'll also make another project featuring this technique.

The cost of the class is $15, or FREE with a $25 order. If you're interested in getting the class for free, you can order the Kraft Or Basic Black Album, Variety Pack Pocket Pages and $9 worth of your favorite adhesives or anything else you'd like on Tuesday and have everything you need for next month's class.

This is the Basic Black 6" x 8 "Album. You can have your choice of this or the Kraft Album. The Pocket Pages will hold enough cards for at least 16 months and 16 different techniques, so it's a great deal!

I hope you'll plan to attend this fun & exciting new class and learn a new technique! The class is this Tuesday, October 17th at First Christian Church in Room 7. Please let me know ASAP if you want to attend so I can get your projects prepped for you. Email me at: lmel09@q.com to tell me you want to attend. Thanks so much for stopping by!
