NUMBER OF YEARS CARD:

Hello there! So sorry, I forgot to post this. This is the last of the cards we made at Card Buffet last month. I had shared this on my blog last year and had someone requesting to make it. Everything was current except for the Project Life Grid Cards, but I had a couple of packs of them, so we were able to make some.

I started with a Crumb Cake base and used the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder, which unfortunately is going away:( On top of that I added one of the grid cards and stamped it with the leaf & floral images from Number of Years. I stamped the leaves with Old Olive and the roses with Night of Navy. I used Cherry Cobbler & Crushed Curry for the other flowers.

I added a strip of Floral Boutique DSP to the bottom and used the Project Life Corner Rounder Punch on the top corners. I wrapped some Crushed Curry baker's Twine around the card and tied a bow. I stamped the sentiment with a Cherry Cobbler Marker, ommitting the top line on the stamp. I added a few Basic Pearls to finish it off.

I'm prepping for my Cool Treats Class which I'm holding tomorrow, and then onto designing new cards for my Card Buffet. I'll be sharing 10 new designs, so stay tuned! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

NO BONES ABOUT IT CARD:

Hello there! This is another one of the cards we made at my Card Buffet. I had a request for little boy birthday cards, and knew No Bones About It would be perfect-since this is Quinten's favorite set:) I had seen this design on Shelli's blog awhile back and had wanted to make it. I started with a Crumb Cake base and added a layer of DSP from the Subtles DSP Stack. I added the tracks along the bottom with Soft Suede ink.

I made a banner from Whisper White Cardstock using the Banner Triple Punch. I colored the 'Rawr' with a Tangerine Tango Marker, and stamped the other sentiment with Pacific Point ink. On a scrap of Whisper White, I stamped the solid dinosaur image with Pool Party ink. I stamped the bone image over the top with Pacific Point ink and cut it out with Paper Snips. I stamped the dot image with Tangerine Tango onto the same color cardstock and cut out with the circles framelits-not sure if I used the current or retired set. That's one setback about the Card Buffet-all my supplies are tied up in the totes. If I need to use something, I have to try to remember which tote it's in and make sure I put it back when I'm done...yikes!

I layered the banner with a Pacific Point banner underneath, and adhered the circle with SNAIL. I put the dino where I wanted him to get perfect placement for the hat, and stamped it in Pear Pizzazz ink. I then adhered the dino with Dimensionals. I stamped the leaf with Pear Pizzazz ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and cut it out with Paper Snips. I attached it with a Dimensional.

This is such a fun set to use and was so happy to see that it was going to be hanging around for another year:) I've got 1 more card to share with you, and then it's time to get busy making new for next month:) Thanks so much for stopping by!

MARQUEE MESSAGES CARD:

Hello there! Back today with another card from my Card Buffet. I had some requests for graduation cards, so I thought Marquee Messages would work great. I started with a Tangerine Tango base and added a layer of Whisper White that I stamped with the Writing Notes background stamp in Bermuda Bay ink. Unfortunately, it will be retiring:(, but Marquee Messages will be hanging around for another year:) I then added a layer of Bermuda Bay Cardstock that I stamped with Basic Grey ink.

I stamped the arrow again onto Daffodil Delight Cardstock and used the White Watercolor Pencils to color around the bulbs. I then added drops of glue to the bulbs using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen, and set it aside to dry. I stamped the 'Awesome' again onto Melon Mambo Cardstock, cut it out with Paper Snips and attached with SNAIL. I added a couple strips of Party Animal Washi Tape, and attached the Bermuda Bay piece on top. I stamped the bottom sentiment & stars with Basic Grey, Melon Mambo & Daffodil Delight inks.

I stamped a couple stars with Basic Grey ink onto Tangerine Tango Cardstock, cut out with Paper Snips and attached with Glue Dots. When I was sure the glue had dried, I cut out the arrow with Paper Snips and attached with Dimensionals. I finished it off with a few Basic Rhinestones.

I love how the glue adds great texture to the card and resembles marquee bulbs. Tuck some cash inside and I'm sure any grad would love to get this card. I've got a fun birthday card to share with you tomorrow. Thanks so much for stopping by!

BIRTHDAY FIESTA CARD:

Hello there! Here's another card we made at my Card Buffet last week featuring the Birthday Fiesta bundle. The inside sentiment says Happy Cinco de Mayo made with the Labeler Alphabet-so much fun! You can customize it for whatever occasion you need. But it could also work as a birthday card using the sentiment included in the stamp set.

I started with a Pumpkin Pie base and ran it through the Big Shot using the Festive Embossing Folder. I added a piece of the Festive Birthday DSP on top. Next, I stamped the banners with Tempting Turquoise ink onto the same color cardstock, and then repeated with Melon Mambo. I stamped the cactus with Emerald Envy ink and the flower with Melon Mambo onto Whisper White Cardstock. I used the coordinating Fiesta Time Framelits to cut them all out.

I layered the banners onto the card base with Glue Dots. I then cut out a circle from Crushed Curry Cardstock using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I added the cactus and flower with Glue Dots and added a Rhinestone Jewel to the center. I masked off the bottom sentiment with retired washi tape and stamped the 'Fiesta' with Tempting Turquoise ink. I removed the tape and colored the bottom with a Pumpkin Pie Marker, and stamped the sentiment onto Whisper White Cardstock. I attached it with a Glue Dot on the left and a Dimensional on the right so it would lay flat.

I'm sad to say most everything on this card is retiring:( The Birthday Fiesta stamp set, Fiesta Time Framelits, Festive Birthday DSP and Festive Embossing Folder will all be going away. I still have a couple of cards to share from my Card Buffet, so make sure to come back by tomorrow. Thanks so much for stopping by!

THAT'S THE TAG CARD:

Hello there! Back with another card from my Card Buffet last week. I made this Mother's Day card using the That's the Tag Bundle, which is retiring. Again, if you buy them separately, you save $. The stamp set is 15% off and the framelits are 30% off, so you save almost $6. I started with a Daffodil Delight base and added a piece of Affectionately Yours DSP.

On top of the DSP I added a circle stamped in Crumb Cake ink and used the 1 3/4" Circle Punch to punch it out. The sentiment is stamped with Night of Navy ink. I stamped the background flower image with Crumb Cake ink as well, along with the 3 flowers onto Whisper White Cardstock. I cut them out using the Timeless Tags Framelits.

I colored the flowers and leaves with Watermelon Wonder, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake and Cucumber Crush Stamp Pads and Blender Pens. While closed, I squeezed the pad to get a small amount of ink onto the stamp pad lid and picked up color with the Blender Pen. I attached the circle to a Lace Doily with Dimensionals, adding them horizontally. I then attached the doily to the DSP with Dimensionals, adding them vertically. Next, I tied a piece of Calypso Coral Thick Baker's Twine around the DSP and tied a bow. I then attached the DSP banner piece to the card base with Dimensionals.

I stamped the background flowers with Daffodil Delight ink and added 2 of the flowers with Glue Dots and the one to the far right with a Dimensional. I finished it off with a few Metallic Enamel Shapes. Stop back tomorrow for another fun card we made last week. Thanks so much for stopping by:)

BASKET BUNCH HOSTESS GIFT:

Hello there! Back again today with a sweet little project to share. I made this for my Hostess gift this month using the Basket Bunch Bundle. Both the Basket Bunch stamp set & Basket Builder Framelits will be retiring, and they are on sale! The stamp set is 20% off and the framelits are 50% off. You can actually buy them separately for $14.45 cheaper than the bundle price. So is you've been thinking about getting this bundle, now is the time to get it while it's still available!

I cut the basket out using Crumb Cake Cardstock. You can check out Pinterest for several tutorials for how to make the basket. After I assembled it I decorated the basket with a sweet little bunny stamped with Tip Top Taupe ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. I stamped the carrots with the same ink onto Pumpkin Pie Cardstock and the tops onto Cucumber Crush Cardstock. I used the Basket Builder Framelits to cut them all out. I glued the greens to the carrots using Liquid Tombow.

I bundled up the carrots and tied a piece of So Saffron/gold Baker's Twine from the Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishments Kit in a bow. I added color to the bunny's cheeks, ears and nose with a Q-tip in Blushing Bride ink. I colored his bow tie with a Marina Mist Marker and cut one of the pompoms off of the Whisper White Mini Pompom Trim for his tail. I attached the bunny & carrots to the basket with Dimensionals.

Finally I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of So Saffron Cardstock using Tip Top Taupe ink. I flagged one end and attached it with Glue Dots.

I really love this bundle and plan to put it to use 1 more time for my grandbabies...as soon as I figure out what I'm going to make and when I'm going to be able to do it, ugghh! If I can get myself on the ball, I'll post what I make for them:) Come back tomorrow for one of the cards we made at my Card Buffet. Thanks so much for stopping by:)

COOL TREATS CLASS:

Hello again! It's a Two-fer Tuesday! I wanted to share this fun Cool Treats Class that I'm holding on Thursday, April 27th. You'll get to make these 4 adorable projects with your own set of color instructions to follow. There are 3 options:

Option 1: Order the Cool Treats Bundle and get the class for only $5! Your class kit includes-
*Cool Treats Bundle (Cool Treats Stamp Set & Frozen Treats Framelits)
*4 projects shown above, including envelopes, with all the pieces prepped for you
   *Color step-by-step instructions

Option 2: Cool Treats Class for $20. Your class kit includes-
*4 projects shown above, including envelopes, with all the pieces prepped for you
   *Color step-by-step instructions

Option 3: Cool Treats Class for $10 (with previous purchase of Cool Treats Bundle-must bring to class). Your class kit includes-
*4 projects shown above, including envelopes, with all the pieces prepped for you
   *Color step-by-step instructions

The best deal is to buy the Cool Treats Bundle and get the Cool Treats Class for only $5. You'll get to use your own stamp set and framelits during class, saving you time waiting on others. You'll get to take your bundle home with you and make more projects with it. The color instructions have measurements for cardstock, DSP and ribbons used. Plus, you'll be saving 10% by purchasing the stamp set & framelits together. If you've already purchased the bundle from someone other than me, you'll need to bring it to class.

You'll make this Sweet Trifold Gift Card Holder. Perfect for a young lady graduating:) Or just because for a friend.

You'll make this You're the Cherry to My Sundae Card. A fun mini size that you could attach to a package or gift bag.

You'll also get to do a fun ombre effect with a Sponge Brayer on this You're Sweet Card.

And finally you'll be proud to give this Happiest Birthday Card to someone special on their special day.

Another bonus to buying the bundle, is that the stamp set and framelits are carrying over to the new catalog which comes out in June, so you'll have another year of project ideas for this fun set. Remember, this will no longer be sold as a bundle in the next catalog, so you won't save the 10% if you wait. Also, the coordinating products-Tasty Treats Washi Tape, DSP, Cardstock Pack & Sprinkles Embelishments are discounted 20-50% off, but only as long as they're available. Please let me know by this Friday, April 14 if you'd like to attend, so I can get everything ordered and prepped. The Cool Treats Class will be held on Thursday, April 27 from 5-7pm at First Christian Church fellowship Hall. And make sure to check out the Retiring List to get any products that will be going away. See them at:  www;lauramellinger.stampinup.net. Thanks so much for taking a look:)

BOTANICAL BUILDER TINY TREAT BOXES:

Hello there! Well I'm a few days overdue with this post-so sorry:( I think I may have temporarily lost my mind for a bit, but I seemed to have found it again:) I was part of a small group from our church who brought the Christian band Carrollton to downtown Burlington, and it was a way bigger undertaking than I could have imagined. It was an awesome experience, but I don't want to do that again for a long time:) My sweet hubby also agreed to help me paint a rental property, and that was also more than we bargained for. On day one, he's yanking down old ceiling tiles and replacing them...why can't I learn to just say no? Switching gears to something exciting-I've seen the new catalog which will be live the beginning of June, and it won't disappoint! But first, we need to clean house to make room for the new. You can see the Retiting List here:  https://www.stampinup.com/ecweb/categorypage.aspx?categoryid=10100&utm_source=olo&utm_medium=o1-ad&utm_campaign=new-olo-homepage
Or go to:  www.lauramellinger.stampinup.net  and click on the Retiring Products box.

I used the Botanical Builder Framelits to make the flower on top of a Clear Tiny Treat Box. These framelits along with the coordinating stamp set Botanical Blooms will be retiring May 31, unless they sell out sooner. I cut the flower out of Daffodil Delight Cardstock, and used a Sponge Dauber in Delightful Dijon ink for the center. I wrapped a piece of Affectionately Yours DSP around the box and added some Watermelon Wonder Mini Striped Ribbon over the top. I used Glue Dots to secure the ribbon.

Back to the flower...geez, maybe my brain still is MIA...I put 2 Glue Dots into the flower center and added a messy swirl of Copper Metallic Thread. On top of that I added the flower center with Crumb Cake Cardstock and topped it off with a Basic Pearl. I attached the flower to a Mint Macaron tag that I heat-embossed with Copper Embossing Powder using the set Circle of Spring.

Unfortunately, several of these products are saying good-bye:( I'm really going to miss the In Colors-Delightful Dijon, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron and Cucumber Crush & Tip Top Taupe as well. The striped ribbon in all 5 colors, along with the Affectionately Yours DSP, Circle of Spring stamp set and Botanical Builder Framelits and Botanical Blooms stamp set will all be retiring.

Make sure to check out the Retiring List and let me know if you're wanting to order any of these products before they're gone for good. I'll be placing an order on Friday, so let me know ASAP. Make sure to stop back tomorrow-I'll be posting something-not sure yet what, but something good! Thanks so much for stopping by...and for your patience with me:)

JAR OF LOVE CARD:

Hello there! I thought with all the sunshine today this would be the perfect card to share with you:) I had a request for a May Day card at my Card Buffet so I put Jar of Love and Scenic Sayings to work. I started with a Crumb Cake base and added a layer of Tasty Treats DSP on top. I stamped the jar with Pool Party ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. I added the water line and 'Friend' in Pool Party as well. I stamped the stems with Pear Pizzazz ink and the leaves with Cucumber Crush ink onto the same cardstock.

I cut out the leaves and flowers with the coordinating Everyday Jars Framelits (and saved 10%:). I then used Peekaboo Peach, Blushing Bride & Wisteria Wonder ink for the flower's centers. I stamped the sentiment from Scenic Sayings with Cucumber Crush ink and stapled a piece of Cucumber Crush Striped Ribbon to the Whisper White Cardstock. I used the Duet Banner Punch to punch out half of a banner from So Saffron Cardstock. I had to get creative since SU! doesn't have a May Day sentiment, so I inked up the word 'May' from Wild About Flowers with a Wisteria Wonder Marker. I attached the banner piece with a Dimensional, overlapping the staple slightly.

I attached the Cucumber leaves and Wisteria flower with Liquid Tombow, and the Blushing Bride flower with a Glue Dot. I attached the Peekaboo Peach flowers with Dimensionals. I added a Blushing Bride Baker's Twine bow and tucked it under the flower with a rolled Glue Dot. I finished it off with a couple strips of Affectionately Yours Washi Tape.

I was so happy to see the sunshine today with all the doom & gloom we've had lately. Hopefully this card spread a little sunshine your way as well. Make sure to come back tomorrow for a sweet May Day nifty-gifty. Thanks so much for stopping by:)
