CARD BUFFET REMINDER:

Hello there! Just sending out a reminder that Card Buffet is this Thursday, March 2nd from 4-8 at First Christian Church:) We're getting booted out of the Fellowship Hall as they'll be having the Soup Supper as a kick-off for Lent. We'll be in Room 7 which should work out just fine:)

I'm excited to have 6 new designs to add to the mix! I have a couple of cards made with the original Sale-A-Brations sets, and SU! just added 3 additional products that can be earned for FREE with a $50 purchase, so we'll be playing with a couple of those as well! I have a couple of Easter cards and a graduation card made with fun stuff from the Occasions Catalog. Please let me know if you'll be able to make it, as I'm working on a fun little Easter treat for everyone who attends. Hope to see you soon! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

HOT DIGGITY DOG CARD:

Hello there! This is another request from my Card Buffet. Someone wanted Pet Sympathy cards, and this was a hit! They made up every one I had:) I didn't have a current set to use so I pulled out the retired set Hot Diggity Dog. I started with a Crumb Cake base and added a piece of the Sale-A-Bration DSP Carried Away-which you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase:)

I used the 2" Circle Punch to cut out the hole in the DSP. I layered a piece of Whisper White Cardstock underneath and stamped the dog body with Early Espresso ink. I used a Sponge Dauber with the Flirty Flamingo Stamp Pad to fill in the shirt and background. I adhered the DSP to the cardstock with Dimensionals. I then used a ruler and Early Espresso Marker to draw the dotted lines. I stamped the head on a piece of Whisper White, cut it out with Paper Snips and attached it to the body with a Dimensional.

I stamped the sentiment with Early Espresso ink and attached with Dimensionals. I cut out the clouds with the Umbrella Weather Framelits from Whisper White Cardstock. I added a Basic Rhinestone to his collar and sprinkled a few Subtles Enamel Shapes to finish it off.

I'm glad this card was such a hit and will need to make up more kits for next month:)

Just wanted to finalize the details about the Lift Me Up Class. It will be held on Friday, February 24 at 4pm, or right after work for those who work, at First Christian Church. Each attendee will make 12 all-occasion cards with coordinating envelopes. You have 3 options to choose from. Option 1: Make 12 cards and coordinating envelopes (using my stamp set) for $30.00.

Option 2: Purchase the clear-mount Lift Me Up stamp set, to use at class. You will go home with 12 cards & coordinating envelopes + the stamp set, to be able to create more cards if desired. The cost for this option is $40.00.

Option 3: Purchase the Lift Me Up Bundle (at a 10% discount), to use at class. You will go home with 12 cards & coordinating envelopes + the stamp set + the Up & Away Thinlits + decorated Card Tin to store your cards in. The cost for this option is $60.00.

Please let me know if you're interested in attending this class by Tuesday, February 14-Valentine's Day:), so I can get everything ordered in time. CUSTOM TEE ST. PATTY'S CARD:

Hello there! I had a request for a St. Patrick's Day card at my Card Buffet, so this is what I came up with. It was a bit of a challenge, as we don't have much to work with. I finally had to resort to a retired stamp, but I was able to put the Custom Tee set to work as well. I started with an Emerald Envy base and stamped the background images with the same ink.

I added a piece of Party Animal DSP and ran a strip of Playful Palette Washi Tape along the side. On the other side I attached a strip of Gold Sequin Trim with a Mini Paper Clip and added a Whisper White Baker's Twine bow. I stamped the t-shirt and flower with Emerald Envy ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and used the coordinating T-shirt Builder Framelits to cut them out. As always, I saved 10% when I bought the Bundle:) I colored the flower in with an Emerald Envy Marker and cut off one of the petals to make a shamrock. I colored one line of the cuff stripes with the marker to make the stem. I then used the marker to color the sentiment. I attached the shamrock with a Dimensional piece.

I folded a couple of pieces of the SAB Metallic Ribbon and added a Glue Dot to secure. I adhered them to the DSP with SNAIL and attached the t-shirt over the top with Dimensionals. I added a few sequins from the Gold Sequin Trim for a little extra bling.

Stop back tomorrow for another card using an oldie but goodie:) Thanks so much for stopping by!

ADORING ARROWS JANUARY PAPER PUMPKIN:

Hello there! Stopping in to share this fun Paper Pumpkin kit called Adoring Arrows. I wanted to make these for Gabe & Q to take to school for their Valentine parties, but they were a little girly. And then I came across a Facebook post from Sara where she was making these fun little slimy guys, and I thought they'd be perfect to guy up their Valentines a little:)

The kit contains enough supplies to make 24 of these sweet little bags, the layered gold/vellum striped banners and the fun gold-tipped arrows. I added a few Hersheys Kisses & Hugs, and stapled the bags shut. I folded a piece of retired gold striped washi tape over the top to hide the staple. I layered the vellum banner over the gold trimmed banner with Glue Dots and attached it to the bag with Glue Dots as well.

I stamped 'Slimer' from the set Yummy In My Tummy with Basic Grey Archival ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. Now for the fun part! I got a new bottle of the Fine-Tip Glue Pen and unscrewed the top. I added about 10 drops of Cucumber Crush Ink Refill, screwed the top back on and shook it up good, and voila-slime! The fine tip worked perfectly for those tiny fingers. I outlined him first and then went back and filled him in. It takes at least an hour to dry-maybe longer, depending how much glue you use. When it dries, it has an awesome slimy-looking texture:) I'm sure I'll think of lots of other ideas for this fun technique! I added 3 Dimensionals to the back of the heart, added a line of Liquid Tombow and attached the arrow. I finished it off with a bit of Calypso Coral Thick Baker's Twine.

I wanted to have a little treat for the attendees at my Card Buffet last week. All of the bags were spoken for between Gabe and Quinten's classmates, so I used one of the bags as a template to make my own using the Sending Love DSP Stack. I had to make the bags a tad smaller as the DSP wasn't quite as wide, but it worked fine.

I used the banners, gold thread and heart from the kit.

I wrapped a piece of Blushing Bride Solid Baker's Twine around the bag & tied a bow. I finished it off with a heart from the Metallics Sequin Assortment.

Another awesome Paper Pumpkin kit-can't wait to see what I get this month! Stop back tomorrow for another Card Buffet project. Thanks so much for stopping by:)

SWIRLY BIRD PRETTY POCKET CARD:

Hello there! Sorry for the delay but I ran into technical difficulties-which are the worst kind of difficulties:( After several cord/adapter thingy purchases, my hubby found an old cord that worked, so we're back in business:) This was one of the options at my Card Buffet last week, using the Sale-A-Bration Pretty Pocket Card Kit, meaning you can get it for FREE with a $50 purchase:)

One of the SU! artists came up with this alternate design, so I thought it would be fun to share another idea for this adorable kit.

This is what the cards look like according to the instructions-which are awesome as they are! I just like to pass along alternate ideas as well.

I stamped the background images with the Swirly Bird stamp set using So Saffron ink. I stamped the insert as well. I cut a Delicate White Doily into fourths and adhered it over the window using Liquid Tombow. I then wrapped a piece of Whisper White Baker's Twine around the pocket and tied a bow. I stamped one of the large swirls with Pool Party ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and another with So Saffron ink. I stamped another with Calypso Coral ink onto Calypso Coral Cardstock, and cut them out with the coordinating Swirly Scribbles Thinlits. You can save 10% when you bundle them together. I punched out the So Saffron swirl using the 1 3/8" Circle Punch.

I stamped the small swirls with Rich Razzleberry ink onto Rich Razzleberry Cardstock, and the leaves with Wild Wasabi ink onto Pear Pizzazz Cardstock. I used the dies to cut them all out. I attached the large swirls with Glue Dots and tucked the leaves and small swirls underneath with SNAIL. I attached the Saffron swirl with Dimensionals. The sentiments are from Tin of Cards and stamped with Rich Razleberry ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. I placed a Glue Dot on the back of the left side and a Dimensional piece on the right to adhere evenly.

I finished off the insert with a piece of Tasty Treats Washi Tape and trimmed off the ends. The sentiment and cute flowers on the envelopes are stickers that come with the kit-couldn't be easier!

I adore the colors in this kit and that they gave us 2 different pocket colors. Everything about this kit screams Spring and I say 'Bring It!'

Stop back tomorrow for some Valentine's Day fun! Thanks so much for stopping by:)
