FOR PEEPS' SAKE CARD:

Hello there! Today I have the final card that you'll be making with the February CLASS OF THE MONTH:FOR PEEPS' SAKE. I wanted to come up with another idea other than Easter, and I think I delivered:) This would be perfect for a baby or baby shower. The base is made with the Circle Card Thinlit Die with the help of the Big Shot. I used Chocolate Chip Cardstock, and used an additional piece that I embossed with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. I used a piece of Flashback DSP for the other panel and adhered both with SNAIL adhesive.

I then stamped the momma chick with Daffodil Delight ink, wiped off the legs with a baby wipe, colored them with a Chocolate Chip Marker and stamped to the far left on Very Vanilla Cardstock. Next, I took the stamp with the 3 chicks, masked off the chicks on both ends with a sticky note and stamped in Daffodil Delight (make sure to remove the sticky notes before you stamp:) I then colored just the outline of the shell with a Chocolate Chip Marker onto Very Vanilla and cut it out. This was punched out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. I popped up the shell with a Dimensional. I then attached this to a Real Red scallop included with the die with Dimensionals. I colored the sentiment with a Chocolate Chip Marker onto Very Vanilla, and cut it out into a pennant shape. I glued it onto a toothpick using Liquid Tombow and then attached it to the base with a couple of Dimensionals. You need to be careful in placing the Dimensionals so that they don't catch when you flip the card open.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment from Big News in Chocolate Chip onto a piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock and punched it out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch. I stamped the other sentiment onto Real Red Cardstock and used the included pennant die to cut it out. (These sentiments will be stamped with the Kit, as they aren't part of the featured stamp set). The remaining sentiment was stamped onto Very Vanilla using Chocolate Chip ink.

Next, I cut a 1/4" slit on the score line with an Xacto knife and thread a piece of Real Red Cotton Ribbon through, tieing a knot. Finally, I punched out a Real Red heart using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, and placed one of the brand new Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Stickers from the Occasions Catalog on top~fun!

Remember, February 10th is the deadline to order February's CLASS OF THE MONTH:FOR PEEPS' SAKE, featuring the stamp set For Peep's Sake in clear mount, a jar of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, and the kit to make the previously posted 4 cards. The cost is $35:

If you don't need the stamp set and glitter, you can order just the Kit, which contains all the components to make the 4 cards~just remember you'll need to have a stamp set that will work for the stamping. The cost for the Kit is $10.

Stay tuned...I'll have some more bonus projects that you can make using this stamp set~I just have to think of them:) Thanks so much for stopping by!
