YIPPEE SKIPPEE CARD:

Hello there! Wanted to pop in and share a quick and easy birthday card with you. My sister's 50th birthday is in a couple of days and thought I'd snap a couple of pics before I sent it off. I used the sets Yippee-Skippee ans Memorable Moments. I also used the Envelope Punch Board to make a File Folder card-so fun to make!

I started with a Very Vanilla base and used Birthday Basics DSP. I also used the Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon, which is on sale right now during the Holiday Sale:) The colors are Raspberry Ripple(obviously!), Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green, Bermuda Bay, Crisp Cantalopue and Basic Grey. I used the 3/4" Circle Punch to punch out the numbers and popped them up with Dimensionals.  Well I'm off to get started on Hostess and Downline gifts. I'll be back to share soon. Thanks so much for stopping by:)

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD:

Hello there! I don't have any projects to share with you today, but I wanted to show you what we've been working on. My husband is the area coordinator for Operation Christmas Child, a children's Christmas ministry~actually  the world's largest.

Many individuals, bussinesses and organizations have donated items, money or hand-made items to pack into shoeboxes which get sent all over the world to needy children. For most, this in the only gift they've ever received. When the shoebox gifts are distributed to the children, they also receive a 12-week discipleship program called the Greatest Journey, which teaches them about Jesus and gives each of them hope. Afterwards they each receive a Bible in their own language-over 70 different languages!

There have been several Packing Parties in the area, and we collected all the supplies which were left over and tried to fill as many more as we could. We invited our kids and grandbabies over and had our own little Packing Party. So much fun!

We set up another table that I had planned to put the packed shoeboxes on, but our 7 year old grandson Gabriel had another idea. He thought we needed a Snack Buffet!

He even set up a Weight Watchers/Gluten Free section for grandma! He's my little Angel Gabriel:)

It was amazing how much stuff was still left!

We ended up with 84 boxes! I think this will be a yearly tradition:) Thanks so much for stopping by!

BOWLING CARD:

Hello there! Change of plans...We're not ready to go yet with this month's Paper Crafters Sampler, so I'll share a card with you instead. A good customer friend of mine had surgery on her arm and asked me to make a card for her. She needed a 75th birthday card for a guy who likes to bowl, so this is what I came up with. I started with a Real Red base and added a layer of Naturals Composition DSP on top. I made the bowling ball with Basic Black Cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Circles Collection Framelits. I used the 1/2" Circle Punch to punch out the finger holes. I cut out a second circle and adhered the two together using Dimensionals.

I trimmed a bit off the bottom of the ball and added a banner in Crushed Curry with Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black using Bring On The Cake. I made a mini bowling pin by using the retired Jewelry Tag Punch on Whisper White Cardstock and trimmed it down a bit. I cut a couple of stripes out of Real Red Cardstock and glued them onto the pin with Liquid Tombow-not the easiest thing to do! I cut a couple of pennants out of Silver Glimmer Paper and added the numbers using the Typeset Alphabet Die.

Finally, I added a few arrows using the Hexagon Punch. Along the bottom edge of the Real Red Cardstock, I punched out a small notch. I then centered the punch over the notch and punched out a bigger one to get the arrow shape. This was a really fun card to make and I hope it's right up his alley:) Hopefully we'll be ready to go tomorrow with the Sampler and I can share a bit of my project with you. Thanks so much for stopping by!

WARMTH & WONDER CARD:

Hello there! Sorry I didn't get this posted yesterday. I sat down to do it and the computer wasn't working again! At least this time it wasn't on my end:) By the time Hurricane Q left last night, I was too wiped out to do it. So I better get to it now. This is the last of the cards we made at Card Night. I used the fun Circle Card Thinlit Die along with the Big Shot to make a cool card that flips when you open it. I also used the Hostess set Warmth & Wonder. I started with a Crumb Cake base and stamped the trees with Crumb Cake ink as well. I stamped the snowflakes and snow on the trees with Whisper White Craft ink. The deer and sentiment were stamped in Soft Suede.

For the wreath I used the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch to punch out the center of a square of Always Artichoke Cardstock. I then used the scallop circle that comes with the die and centered it around the smaller scallop circle to form a wreath. I repeated the same process for the wreath on the other side. I punched out 5 branches for this wreath and glued them in a circle using Liquid Tombow and being careful to keep the glue to the center of the branches so I could bend them up. I tied a bow around the wreath using Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine.

I stamped the wreath with the snow image to give it a little interest. Crap...I thought I took a picture of the flip side of this wreath, but apparently I didn't. I'm sorry, but I'm just too sore & lazy to go take another picture, lol.  On the back side, I made another wreath without the branches and wrote From the Mellingers using the White Chalk Marker and adding another Cherry Cobbler bow to that wreath as well. I wrapped a piece of Cherry Cobbler Stitched Edge Ribbon around the card and added a Naturals Button with a piece of CC Baker's Twine through the center.

Thanks for bearing with me through this 'trying to get back on my feet' process. Today my knees hurt so bad I want to cry. Probably from walking on them funky for the past 31/2 months. I had physical therapy twice this week and she worked me over good on Thursday. My foot is all swollen and sore again:(...wahhh. I'd like to pop a pill but I got my little buddy coming soon to terrorize me, so I better not... Make sure to stop back tomorrow-I have a cute snowman project for you to take a peek at for this month's Paper Crafters Sampler. Thanks so much for stopping by:)

WONDERFALL CARD:

Hello there! Here's another card from Card Night I want to share with you. I was inspired by a card Christine Gaydos made using this set. I don't think she has a blog that I can point you to, but she did a beautiful job. I used the sets Wonderfall and Sweet Essentials. I started with a Soft Sky base and layered 3 different patterns from Sweater Weather DSP-LOVE that stuff! Next I added a piece of Burlap Ribbon that I stapled at the top for fun.

I ran a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock through the Big Shot using the Autumn Accents Die-which is ON SALE through Monday! Go check it out on the Weekly Deals here: http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ItemList.aspx?categoryid=1634
I then stamped the leaves in Crushed Curry and Sahara Sand using the Stamp-a-ma-jig. I adhered them using Dimensionals and tucked the sentiment underneath using Tangerine Tango ink.

I finished it off with a Naturals Button with a Linen Thread bow and attached it with Glue Dots. For fun, I made some extra leaves to spill out of the card when opened. On the back of each leaf I wrote a little encouraging message: Nuts about you...You're A-OAK-ay!...I beleaf in you...You're wonderfall! Maybe a little corny, but it's the thought that counts right? Thanks so much for stopping by:) See you back here tomorrow!

LOVE & SYMPATHY CARD:

Hello there! I have another card from Card Night to share with you today. I used the set Love & Sympathy and started with a Whisper White base. I used Gorgeous Grunge to add the Daffodil Delight splatter in the background. I wished I would have stamped it off first-it's a little intense. At least it's yellow and will bring a little cheer maybe? I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch on both edges of another piece of Whisper White and added a piece of Blushing Bride DSP from the Paper Stack and wrapped some Daffodil Delight Seam Binding around it. I used a Glue Dot to attach the bow.

I stamped the sentiment in Pistachio Pudding and punched it out with the Wide Oval Punch. I ran a piece of Whisper White Cardstock through the Big Shot using the Designer Frames Embossing Folder and cut out an insert for the frame. I stamped the flower with Blushing Bride, wiped off the stems, colored them with a Pistachio Marker and stamped. I adhered the flower into the frame. I used the Floral Fusion Die in Blushing Bride to make the flowers. I cut out 2 of each of the smallest flowers and layered them with the flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. I layered them with a Glue Dot between layers and added a Basic Pearl to the center.

I added a pearl to the center of the stamped flower and attached the flowers with Glue Dots. Make sure to check back-I have lots to share! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

HARVEST OF THANKS CARD:

Hello there! Here's one of the cards we made at Card Night this past week-end. I was inspired by Aimee Cretsinger, a featured demonstrator in our Stampin' Success last month. I started with a Summer Starfruit base and stamped the background image in Summer Starfruit as well. I added a layer of Early Espresso Core'dinations on top of that which I sanded to bring out the glorious texture!
I added a Cajun Craze decorative border using the Finishing Touches Edgelits along with the Big Shot, and added some more yummy texture with the Natural Trim Ribbon.

Next, I inked up the Harvest image in Early Espresso, wiped off the bottom with a baby wipe, and colored it with a Cajun Craze Marker & stamped onto Very Vanilla Cardstock. I cut it out with one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits. I stamped the Gratitude sentiment in Pool Party and cut it out with the Bitty Banners Framelits. I attached it to the tag with Glue Dots.

As usual, I added lots of Dimensionals between layers to give it some depth. I just love how the colors in this card scream Fall. I hope you like it too. Thanks so much for stopping by:)

TAGS FOR YOU STARBURST CARD:

Hello there! Sorry I'm late to the party with this card, but our computer went out AGAIN, and we just got it back a few days ago. I decided to share this card anyway, because you can easily change it up for Thanksgiving or Christmas using Tags For You and different DSP. I've been seeing the starburst cards all over and though I'd give it a try. Not quite as easy as I thought it would be-but I'm sure I found a way to make it harder than it needed to be!

I used Witches Brew DSP, but you could use Sweater Weather and Season of Style or Winter Frost DSP for the upcoming holidays.

Here's a few pics of my most favorite little goblins:)

Best buddies!

It was ugly trying to get him in his costume, but once it was on, he loved it.

Shark attack!

Getting the hang of it:)

Checking out his loot. He made a good haul! Thanks so much for stopping by:)
