SAILING HOME WINDOW CARD:

Hello there! Back today with another fun project using the Come Sail Away Suite-my PRODUCT OF THE WEEK. I had fun creating this port window...it brings back happy memories from my trip:) I started with a Balmy Blue base and added 3 different designs of the Come Sail Away DSP.

I then cut a circle in the card front using the Layering Circles Dies and ran it through the Big Shot, making sure to open the card as to not cut the bottom layer. Next, I stamped the inside image with Night of Navy ink, making sure it was visible in the window.

I stamped the lighthouse and sentiment with Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and used the Smooth Sailing Dies to cut them out. I used the dies to cut out the wheel from Sahara Sand Cardstock, the rope from Whisper White Cardstock and the anchor from a Silver Foil Sheet. I used the Layering Circles and Stitched Shapes Dies to cut out the window.

I stamped the birds onto the DSP with Night of Navy ink and then began assembling. I added the rope with Liquid Tombow, cutting out the window section. I then centered the window on the circle that I had cut out and adhered it with Liquid Tombow as well. I attached the lighthouse with Dimensionals and adhered the sentiment on top with SNAIL.

I tucked the wheel and anchor underneath with Liquid Tombow. Finally, I tied a bow with the Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker's Twine and tucked it under the sentiment with a Glue Dot. This card was a little more time consuming but so worth it!

  1. I like the 'peek-a-boo' window with the seagulls and boat behind it! The anchor and twine add nice accent pieces too!
    Awesome card Laura!
