FREE AS A BIRD CARDS:

Hello there! Today I have 2 cards to share with you! Both are projects that SU! shared with us to use in our business or make just for fun! We get a weekly email every Tuesday called Weekly Success which gives us lots of ideas for creating projects for fun or for classes, and business-building help as well. They share an Event of the Month which includes several projects like this one and they even provide full-color flyers with instructions and supplies needed!

I used this design from one of their flyers for my Card Buffet. I started with a Pool Party base and added another layer on top that I ran through the Big Shot using the Stitched Lace Dies. I attached it with Dimensionals and added a layer of Bird Ballad DSP on top.

I then added a layer of Vellum Cardstock with Glue Dots. I stamped the bird onto Whisper White Cardstock with   Memento black ink and colored it with Stampin' Blends. I cut it out with the coordinating Stitched Nested Labels and attached it with Dimensionals. I folded a piece of Scalloped Lace Trim in half and adhere it on top with Glue Dots.

I stamped the sentiment with Memento black ink onto So Saffron Cardstock and adhered it on top. I finished it off with a Linen Thread bow that I strung a Bird Ballad Trinket and tucked it under the sentiment with a Glue Dot. This was a favorite at Card Buffet!

This card is one of the Make & Takes we made at OnStage in San Antonio in April. We got to play with the brand new Bird Ballad Suite-my PRODUCT OF THE WEEK, almost 2 months before the catalog went live to our customers!

I started with a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base and added a layer of Bird Ballad DSP. I stamped the image onto Whisper White Cardstock using Memento black ink. I colored the birds with Stampin' Blends and used a Watercolor Pencil to lightly color the background.

I attached the image to the DSP with SNAIL and added the Scalloped Lace Trim with Glue Dots. I stamped the sentiment with Memento black ink onto Old Olive Cardstock and attached it with Dimensionls. I finished it off with a bow made with the trim and attached it with a Glue Dot.

I love how SU! provided 2 different projects for different skill levels. This one would be a perfect project for a workshop or home party with beginner stampers and the above project is perfect for more advanced stampers. If you've ever entertained the idea of joining SU! now is the perfect time to become a demonstrator!
