MINI TREAT BAG HOSTESS GIFT:

Hello there! So glad to wake up to the sun shining today:) Here's the Hostess gift I made last month using the Mini Treat Bag Die. I love it~it's so quick and easy to come up with a sweet treat in no time!

I used Park Lane DSP for the bag, belly band and pennant. I slid the belly band down and wrapped a piece of Retro Fresh Washi Tape around it. I then added a piece of Crushed Curry Striped Ribbon and cinched it with an Old Olive Baker's Twine bow.

Next, I cut the sentiment out with one of the dies included from Calypso Coral Cardstock and adhered with Liquid Tombow. I made a sweet little flower using the 7/8" Scallop Circle Flower Punch in Crushed Curry Cardstock and topped it with a Subtles Button adorned with Old Olive Baker's Twine. Finally I finished it off with a pair of faux candy dots made with Blackberry Bliss Cardstock and another coordinating die.

I wanted to share a picture of Gabey and Q taken on Easter. Love my sweet little peeps:):)

B.Y.O.P.* PROJECT #4:

Hello there! Here's the final project that you'll be able to make with this month's CLASS OF THE MONTH:B.Y.O.P.*, and I think it's my favorite:) I've been looking for a template like this for awhile but couldn't find one, so I came up with my own. Unfortunately I don't really have any measurements for you, but I'll share some photos of the process. I started with a Very Vanilla base, and it takes pretty much a full sheet.

For the template, I started with a piece of SU! Grid Paper and mapped out a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" rectangle in the center and worked out from there. I angled the 2 bottom corners and used the grid lines to make this shape. You'll get this template included with the purchase of the Class or Kit.

I ran the sides through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. I stamped the sentiment in Sahara Sand and added 2 Sweet Dreams Buttons with Glue Dots. I finished it off with a sweet bow made with Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon. I attached the bow with Glue Dots as well.

I used the gift card as a guide to stamp the sentiment, in Sahara Sand ink as well. I attached the gift card with Glue Dots and folded on the score lines. I added a pair of velcro dots(not very evenly) to close it.

I was really happy with how this turned out and can't wait to have an occasion to make one:) Remember, the deadline to order this class or kit is April 10th. Email me at lmel09@q.com if you're interested:)

Here's the project me & my little buddy worked on yesterday. I needed to make some to take to church Sunday, otherwise I wouldn't have tackled it. It was torture making these as I couldn't eat any of them:( My hubby and me are in the middle of a Whole 30 Challenge~nothing but whole foods for 30 days. No gluten, no grains, no dairy, no alcohol & no sugar for 30 days! They're not kidding when they say challenge! I also have a huge bowl of Easter candy that I haven't been able to get into:( It's like a house of horrors around here! Oh well, I'm surprised of the will power I've had and only 2 more weeks to go! It helps that we're going to Florida in 2 weeks and I need to wear a swimsuit:) Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a blessed and happy Easter tomorrow:)

B.Y.O.P.* PROJECT #3:

Hello there! Back today with a gift card holder that will be perfect for upcoming wedding season. I started with a Sahara Sand base~11 1/2" x 4 1/4", scored at 3 1/2" & 9". I made a pocket with the bottom half by adding a thin line of Liquid Tombow on both sides. I took a piece of the lovely Something Borrowed DSP and wrapped a piece of Blushing Bride Striped Ribbon around it and securing with Sticky Strip on each end.

I then took a strip of Whisper White Cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot using one of the Delicate Designs Embossing Folders and Large Scallop Edgelits. You'll want to do the cutting first, then the embossing so you don't smash it going through the second time. Next I used the Gift Bow Die to make the lovely bow in Sahara Sand Cardstock. I assembled it and adhered it to the scalloped piece using Liquid Tombow.

For the insert, I took a piece of 4 1/4" x 3 1/2" Whisper White Cardstock and scored it at 1/2". I stamped the sentiment with Sahara Sand ink, making sure to get proper placement with the gift card. I then added a piece of Sticky Strip to the back of the 1/2" section and adhered to the top flap.

I slid the bottom of the insert into the pocket, and when you lift up the flap, the gift card and sentiment are revealed.

Finally, I added a tag using Sahara Sand ink. I wiped off the hearts and colored with a Blushing Bride Marker and stamped onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. I used the Decorative Label Punch and attached it to the bow using Blushing Bride Baker's Twine. I didn't even bother with trying to fit this into an envelope. You could just address the couples' names on the back and drop in the card box. Make sure to stop back tomorrow for details on an adorable baby gift card holder. I'm so excited...2 weeks from today we leave for Florida!!! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

B.Y.O.P.* PROJECT #2:

Hello there! Here's the 2nd gift card holder you'll make with this months CLASS OF THE MONTH:B.Y.O.P.*. I started with a Night of Navy base and used the Envelope Punch Board to make the file tabs. I glued the 3 sides together using a small line of Liquid Tombow to make a pocket. I added a piece of Flowerpot DSP and rounded all the corners using the Project Life Corner Rounder Punch.

I used the set B.Y.O.P.* for the sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto Blushing Bride Cardstock and wrapped the same color Cotton Ribbon around the pocket. I used the Flower Flair Framelits to cut out the flowers in Tangerine Tango and Crushed Curry Cardstock. I used the 1 3/8" Circle Punch for the center. I added one of the Sweet Dreams Buttons to the center of the large flower accessorized with Crushed Curry Baker's Twine. The itty bitty button is from the In Color Accessory Pack I earned for FREE during Sale-A-Bration:)

The floral images on the insert and envelope were stamped with Flower Patch in Garden Green, Blushing Bride & Crushed Curry ink. I saved 15% by purchasing the coordinating framelits along with the stamp set:)

I'm really loving how versatile B.Y.O.P.* is. There's sentiments for graduation, birthday, thank you, baby and wedding. Check back tomorrow for a lovely wedding gift card holder. Thanks so much for stopping by:)

APRIL CLASS OF THE MONTH:B.Y.O.P.*

Hello there! I am quite amazed that I managed to have this class ready to go today. I got hit hard with that nasty Influenza B. I'm finally starting to feel human again after this 10 day bucket-of-suck awfulness! On to something brighter...this is what you'll get with this month's class:B.Y.O.P.* Photopolymer stamp set and the kit to make these 4 gift card holders. The cost of the class is $35. If you already have the stamp set, the kit is $10~just remember you need to do the stamping. Please email me at lmel09@q.com by April 10 to order this class.

Here is the first project that you'll make~a matchbook gift card holder, just in time for any graduates you may have this year. I started with a Basic Grey base and scored it at 5" and 10 1/4". I added a piece of  Confetti Celebration DSP and stapled the bottom using the Handheld Stapler and Silver Mini Staples.

I then cut pieces of cardstock in Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Tangerine Tango and Bremuda Bay. I adhered a bit of SNAIL to a piece of Grid Paper, lined them up and stamped the sentiment in Basic Grey. I then stamped a piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock, and transfered the squares, adhereing with SNAIL. I stamped the asterisk on Bermuda Bay, punched it out with a 1/2" Circle Punch and popped it up with a Dimensional. I added a coordinating strip of DSP and attached the Curry piece on top with SNAIL. I then wrapped a piece of Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine around twice and tied in a knot.

For the inside, I added another coordinating piece of Confetti Celebration DSP and made a little pocket using Basic Grey Cardstock. I punched out a notch using the 1" Circle Punch and attached using a thin layer of Liquid Tombow around the edges. I stamped the sentiment with Basic Grey ink onto Whipser White Cardstock and colored with Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding & Tangerine Tango Markers. I stamped the envelope with Class of 2015.

In addition, you'll need the following ink: Basic Grey Stamp Pad
Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding & Tangerine Tango Markers.
You'll need a stapler and adhesive as well.

Make sure to stop back tomorrow and get more details on project #2. Thanks so much for stopping by!
