WORK OF ART CARD:

Hello there! Today I have a card to share with you that is made with the set Work of Art. We were given this set for free at the Catalog Premiere event a couple of weeks ago. It's also one of the cards we'll be making at Card Night on Thursday, June 5th. I have a snag this month and am not going to be able to be there, but my sweet hubby is going to take over for me:) I am going to post each card we're making ahead of time and give detailed directions for each, so you'll have an idea of what you're doing and give you some time to come up with any questions you may have for me.

I started with a Very Vanilla base and stamped the chevron image twice with Soft Sky ink. I stamped the images inside the frame with Blushing Bride, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz ink. I stamped these images onto a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock, leaving a border along the edges to accommodate the frame. Next, I stamped the sentiment in Versa Mark and heat-embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. I didn't use the Embossing Buddy because I wanted the extra powder left on to resemble paint spatter.I used the Big Shot to cut out the Sahara Sand frame using the On Film Framelits. I placed the die with the design facing down and it seems to make a deeper impression. I tied a piece of Gold Baker's Twine around the polaroid piece and then adhered it onto the Very Vanilla piece using SNAIL.

I added a piece of Sequin Trim underneath the bow with some of the sequins removed and used them to scatter all over the card. I used Glue Dots to adhere them. I added some Dimensionals to the back of the polaroid piece and attached it at an angle. For a little added interest, I tucked a piece of Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape under the frame.

Watercoloring and gold are two big trends right now, so it was fun to use both on this card. I was also excited to break out one of the new stamp sets from the brand new catalog which goes live on June 2nd!

I'm in the process of forming new Clubs which will start in July and run through December. If you're interested in joining a Club and getting a new 2014-2015 for FREE, please let me know soon. Even if you live far away from me, we can set up a Hostess Code and you can place your Club order through my online store and it will be sent directly to you! If you're not sure how Club works, you're basically ordering enough to earn Hostess benefits but you're spreading it out over 6 months. And you're likely to get more in Club Hostess benefits than if placing an order on your own, because the average Club order is around $300. That means $50 in freebies~alot of times, even more! Feel free to email me with any questions you may have:)

I'll be back next week with the other cards we'll be making at Card Night~I'm just waiting for all my new goodies to get here so we can play! Thanks so much for stopping by!
