2013 ARTISAN ENTRY PROJECT #5:PAPAYA COLLAGE CARD:

Hello there! You should have just arrived from Paperville and Lauri's awesome project. We're half way through our projects already-I'm kinda sad:( Today I have another card to share with you. I tried to show alot of diversity in my projects and some were much more challenging than others. This project was one of the more challenging ones.
I used the set Papaya Collage, which is one I'd not normally use, but I wanted to do a collage or freestyle card, so this was a perfect choice.  I also used Loving Thoughts for the sentiment and Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel.

I used the Natural Composition Specialty DSP, which is really gorgeous in real life. I used the Brushed Gold Cardstock for the frame along with Gold Embossing Powder and the wonderfully chunky Champagne Glass Glitter.

I used ALOT of embellishments...the Artisan Embellishment Kit, Pool Party Seam Binding, Basic Pearls and Vintage Trinkets.

The color scheme is Baked Brown Sugar, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Old Olive and Night of Navy. I also used Whisper White Craft ink and the Illuminate Stamp Pad. I took apart one of our envelopes and made a template to recreate a coordinating envelope using the Simply Scored. I think the reason I shy away from this style of card is that you never really know how it's going to turn out-you kind of make it up as you go, but I ended up liking the end result. I hope you do too! Thanks so much for stopping by.

Next up is Kandi and her wonderful creation. Let's go see what she has for us today!
