2013 ARTISAN ENTRY #7:EPIC DAY CARD:

Hello there! So glad that you decided to join us again today! You should have just come from Lauri's place. I knew she'd have something good for us today! I'm just about wrapping up my cards and then onto my 3-D projects.

I wanted to make sure I had a masculine card in the mix, so I knew Epic Day was the way to go. I love the pops of color paired with the Basic Grey and Crumb Cake neutrals. I thought the First Edition Specialty DSP would be a perfect compliment to the palette.

I used the stamp sets Clockworks, Elements of Style and One In A Million. I used the Epic Day This & That DSP, Stickers and Washi Tape-so much fun having everything coordinate. I added an Antique Brad, Silver Basics Button and a Hung Up Cute Clip.

I added some stitching with my sewing machine, cuz it's just so fun! I used Crumb Cake and Basic Grey Cardstock, along with the same ink and added Gumball Green and Calypso Coral.

Again, with this card I made a coordinating envelope. I used the Simply Scored and used a retired open end envelope as a template. I'm not sure if this card had the right stuff, but I was really happy with how it turned out. You could simplify it quite a bit and it would make a great guy card.

Off to check out Kandi's blog. I can't wait to see what she's made today! Thanks so much for stopping by!

  2. Wonderful man card - I love the coordinating envelope! I have always kept to the A2 card because I didn't want to struggle to find envelopes. This project will allow me to take a leap and make my own envelope! Well done, thank you for the inspiration!
