ENSEMBLE #2:

Hello there! I got all my purses and centerpieces done and set up at the church! That was  undertaking-but fun! After we finished at the church, Emily (my daughter) and me headed to Mt. Pleasant to start whipping her new house into shape. We got the prep work done last night and I'm rady to start painting today! Can't wait! One of my most favorite things to do!

Again, these were made with the Comfort Cafe DSP and Fabric. I used various embossing folders and buttons and brads to embellish the purses.  Sorry to post and run, but my paintbrush is calling. Thanks so much for stopping by today!

ALMOST DONE!:

Hello there! I'm getting there! Here's a few shots of the centerpieces with the purse favors. I'll have a 13"x13" square of Comfor Cafe Fabric underneath each jar on each of the tables to make it alittle bigger. Sorry the pictures are so dark-we don't know what we're doing!

Like I said earlier, I'll be painting at my daughters new house tomorrow, so I'll save the other ensembles for the next few nights. I'm pretty sure I won't feel like whipping something together after painting all day! Thanks so much for coming by!

MAKING PROGRESS!:

Hi there! Sorry I didn't have a post for you yesterday, but as you can see, I've been busy! I got the final count and I need to make 100 purse favors! I still don't have any more to share with you-doing the assembly line thing.  This unfortunately, is my desk, where I'm making all these purses. As you c
an see, working conditions are pretty bad! But it's my own fault-'I"m Just A Girl Who Can't Say No!'

My goal is to have these done tomorrow and get everything set up at the church, so I can start painting at my daughter's new house tomorrow. They just got possession today-how exciting! I've got the paint and am ready to go! She's getting married next year at this time, so I can't even imagine how nuts I'm going to be by then!

As if things weren't wacky enough, we're also gutting our bathrooms! We're down to one toilet, one sink and no shower for 3 adults and 1 8 month old. Not sure how this is going to work-I guess we'll find out!

The floor guy comes on Monday, so we have to have everything out of there by then. My poor hubby has had this job to himself since I've been buried in purses-how convenient!

The fun part is going to be the clawfoot tubs! Our house was built in 1908 and both the tubs are leaking-so we don't have much choice. If you've ever soaked in one of these tubs, you've been spoiled.  I spend about an hour in mine every morning, and I just can't give it up, so we're going to be adding 2 more of these into the mix-4 cast iron clawfoot tubs that need to be moved! If I haven't mentioned it lately, I have a wonderful husband!

I had posted earlier that my September was crazy-now you know what I mean! I may be hit and miss on posting for awhile, but I'll share the progress with you. Thanks so much for visiting! And I'm sure I helped you have a greater appreciation for your home-your bathroon anyway! See you again soon I hope.

PETITE PURSE FAVOR:

Hello there! As promised, I have something different for you today! These are the little favors I'm going to make for our church event this week-end. So quick and easy to make-well maybe not if I have to make 200! Last count was 60, so that's doable-we'll see where we end up?

I used the Petite Purse Die and ran it through the Big Shot. I used Soft Suede Cardstock and Comfort Cafe DSP on the flap. I embossed the purse with the Stripes Folder and put it together with Sticky Strip. Next, I punched out an oval with the Scallop Oval Punch and adhered it under the flap. I finished it off with one of the Naturals Buttons on top of a Cajun Craze flower punched out with the Boho Blossoms Punch. These come together in minutes, which is a good thing in case I need to make 200 of them! In case you need a break from my table decorations, here's some photos of my chunky little grandbaby Quinten:

                                                        Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man!

                                                                       DEMON!

Thanks so much for coming by. Hopefully I'll have some more purses to share with you tomorrow.

COMFORT CAFE CENTERPIECE #4:

Hello there! Here's the last version of the centerpieces I'm making for my church. I'm sure you're ready to see something different! Sorry about the backdrop-my cameraman is getting a little sloppy!

You know the drill by now-you can get all the details about these products on a couple posts back.

Again, I left the tag blank-waiting on a stamp set to get here.

Sorry to be so short & sweet. I'm really tired-late night last night baking and decorating cookies.

Well I gotta get back to the jars-10 to go. The game paln is to finish these up tomorrow and start on the mini purse favors. So hopefully, I'll have something new to share with you. Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back here tomorrow.

COMFORT CAFE CENTERPIECE #3:

Hi there! Sorry, this is going to be another quickie. I've got 6 dozen cookies to decorate for church tomorrow, so I can't stay long. Here's another version using different DSP and fabric.

See the previous 2 posts for specifics on the products I used.

I left the tag blank because I'm waiting on a stamp set. It's supposed to be here Monday-hopefully I remember to go back and stamp the sentiment on it!

I may have to add something to the lids-they look a little blah. I guess I better get them all done first before I start adding more to them. When will I ever learn?

Well, gotta get back to my cookies. Thanks so much for coming by!

Sorry to post and run but I gotta get these knocked out. I'm going to also try to make 50-100 Petite Purses for this event too. Gotta get cracking! Thanks so much for stopping by-hopefully I'll have another version ready for you tomorrow. See you soon!

COMFORT CAFE CENTERPIECE:

Hi there! I want to apologize for the quality of these pictures. It's a challenge for me to get a good photo of these bigger items, but you'll get the idea. I was asked to make table decorations for an event at our church next week-end, and I wanted to share with you what I came up with. Mason jars are big now, so I thought I'd start there. Since we're heading into fall, I decided to go with the Comfort Cafe Suite, which has coordinating fabric and DSP. I made a couple of flowers using the Simply Scored Tool and used the the 2 3/8" and 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punches for the centers. I added the Naturals Buttons with Early Espresso and Pool Party Baker's Twine to the centers. I glued them onto skewers and added a piece of Stitched Satin Ribbon-which you can get for FREE this month with a $40 purchase!

The colors in the suite are Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Summer Starfruit, Pool Party, Cajun Craze and Midnight Muse. A perfect color palette for this time of year.

I used the Floral Frames Framelits and the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch for the flowers on the jar. The sentiment was punched out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and I added a border with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. Sorry, the sentiment is retired, but it works perfect for our event. I added a strip of DSP with a border made with the Tasteful Trim Die and the Big Shot.

I added a piece of DSP to the inside of the lid and punched a hole in the lid-with the now retired, but have no idea why, Crop-O-Dile. I strung a piece of twine through the hole and tied it to the top of the jar.

Of course I had to decorate the back of the jar too! Finally, I added some aquarium rocks to the jar to anchor the skewers. I hope you got some good ideas for any events you may have coming up. Hopefully my order comes tomorrow so I can make up some other designs to share with you. Thanks so much for coming by!

GOOGLY GHOULS CARD:

Hello there! Sorry I missed posting a couple days, but I'm going to make it up to you with 3 cards to share with you! That's right, a 'Trio of Terror'! I intended to CASE Connie Babbert's card @ www.inkspiredtreasures.com. She made a darling card and I thought I don't need to change a thing. But then I decided I didn't want to have to cut out three dozen ghouls, in case I decided to make some for Farmer's Market. So out of sheer laziness, I changed them up a bit. These cards were all made with Googly Ghouls, Seasonal Sayings and Monster Munchies. I also used Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP on all three cards.

Instead of cutting out the images, I popped them up in a frame with the Designer Frames Folders that were run through the Big Shot. I covered the pumpkin with scotch tape and inked up the sentiment in Basic Black. Next, I removed the tape and colored the pumpkin with Tangerine Tango and Old Olive Markers. I then stamped the sentiment, giving me all 3 colors on the same image. I also masked off the sentiment with tape from the Frankenstein image that I stamped on the envelope.

Finally, I added the cute little googly eyes to put the finishing touches on these cards. Thanks so much Connie for an adorable, super quick and easy card to make! Make sure to stop back tommorow. I'll have a cute mason jar table decoration to share with you. Thanks so much for stopping by!

PERFECTLY PRESERVED CARD:

Hi there! Sorry to say I've only got one card for you. I was lucky to get this one done! I want to give you a heads up that I have a crazy September ahead of me. I'll do my best, but I can't guarantee that I'll have a post every day. I'm beginning to think my life is never going to slow down! Anyway, on to today's card. I am loving this Perfectly Preserved Bundle and Orchard Harvest DSP. You're probably going to be so sick of it! I used a Crumb Cake base and added a strip of Early Espresso that was punched out with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. I adhered it underneath the DSP.

I stamped the jar in Lucky Limeade onto Very Vanilla Cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot with the coordinating Cannery Set Framelits. I stamped the pears in More Mustard onto More Mustard Cardstock and ran them through. They're so much fun to make! I stamped the leaves in Lucky Limeade onto Lucky Limeade Cardstock and, oh, you get the drill. I flagged the ends of the DSP and stapled the Cajun Craze piece. The sentiment is from a retired hostess set, Perfect Pairs. I had to use it-it was, well, perfect! I finished it off with a Naturals Button. I used the set A Word For You on the inside. It says, happy anniversary and many more to come!

Since Gabe's got the day off tomorrow, he's spending the night with us. His Aunt Tara cleaned house and sent a bunch of toys and books over for him. This was Gabe at 9:00 and Quinten's still going...

Now you know why I don't get anything done! Thanks so much for stopping by!

BRING ON THE CAKE CARD:

Hi there! Sorry I missed yesterday; there just weren't enough hours in the day! I'll try to post 2 cards tomorrow to make up for it :) My life right now is like a jar of Crunchy Jif-extra nutty! I borrowed the idea for this card from LeAnne Pugliese. Her blog is www.weeinklings.blogspot.com. The name of the card is Back to School Happy Birthday. Mine didn't turn out as cute as hers, but I thought it was a perfect birthday card for a teacher or anyone who has a birthday in September. I used a Basic Grey base and used my favorite Storytime DSP. I sponged a little Whisper White Craft Ink on the grey paper to make it look like a chalkboard. I used the set Bring on the Cake for the sentiment and the apple can be found in Perfectly Preserved, which is in the Holiday Catalog. I colored the letters in with Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, Riding Hood Red and Pool Party Markers. I ran the GoGo Boots Alphabet Die through the Big Shot using Wild Wasabi Cardstock.  That alphabet is now retired, but the current alphabet in the catalog was too big, so I had to go with this. I finished it off with a piece of Wild Wasabi Stitched Ribbon. And speaking of ribbon...during the month of September, for every $40 you spend, you get a FREE package of the new Stitched Satin Ribbon! Choose from the 5 new In Colors: Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple or Summer Starfruit. See more details on my DBWS under "Back to Spool" Promotion: www.lauramellinger.stampinup.net.  Thanks so much for stopping by tonight. I'll work extra hard tomorrow to have a bonus card for you!
