BIRD BALLAD DOUBLE WONDER CARDS!:

SU!P FRIENDS! You may be familiar with the One Sheet Wonder, but I'd like to share something even better-the Double Wonder cards! You can make this big stack of 11 cards in no time! One of our Demonstrator Development Managers, Shannon West and fellow Demonstrator Julie Davison shared this fun concept and I wanted to share it with you!

These are the supplies you'll need to make the above cards: SU!P Trimmer; Bird Ballad DSP; Free As A Bird Stamp Set; Calypso Coral Stamp Pad; Timeless Label Punch; Petal Pink, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral & Whisper White Cardstock; Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim; Bird Ballad Trinkets; SNAIL; Glue Dots & Mini Dimensionals. I kept the supplies limited so you'd only need 1 sheet of DSP in 2 patterns, 1 stamp set, 1 punch and 1 stamp pad.

First, you're going to start with 2 coordinating pieces of 12"x 12" Designer Series Paper. Cut each in half to 6"x 12". You're then going to cut these into 3 sections. You can layer both sheets of DSP on top of each other to simplify cutting using the new SU! Trimmer. I used the Bird Ballad DSP, which will be retiring with the current Annual Catalog.

For the first cut you're going to cut 4 1/2" off of one end, it doesn't matter which side. Set the remainder of DSP aside. You're going to rotate the 6" x 4 1/2" piece, and cut it in half at 3"x 4 1/2".  You'll then cut each half into 1 1/2" pieces. You'll end up with 6 pieces measuring 3" x 1 1/2".

Mix and match 3 pieces, and center them onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, measuring 5"x 3 1/4". Adhere the Whisper White Cardstock to a Petal Pink card base. Next, adhere 2 pieces of Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim with Glue Dots. Stamp the sentiment with Calypso Coral ink and punch out with Timeless Label Punch. Adhere with Mini Dimensionals and add a Bird Ballad Trinket with a Glue Dot.

You'll be able to make 4 cards with these DSP strips onto Petal Pink, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight & Calypso Coral card bases.

For the next cut, you're going to cut 4" off of the remaining piece of DSP. You will have a piece measuring 4" x 6". Cut 3/4" off of bottom of one end, and set aside. You will then have a piece measuring 4" x 5 1/4". Cut that into 4-1" strips.

Take 1 of the Calypso Coral card bases, and score one end at 1 1/4". Stamp the birds on a branch with Calypso Coral ink. Fold on the score line, and adhere one of the strips of DSP to folded flap. Adhere second strip on the inside edge of card base.

The inside of your card will look like this. Stamp sentiment inside.

Repeat this process to make 4 cards on Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Petal Pink and Calypso Coral card bases. Stamp the sentiment with Calypso Coral ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and punch out with Timeless Label Punch. Fold 7" piece of Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim in half, and secure with Glue Dots. Adhere label over the top with Mini Dimensionals. Tuck Bird Ballad Trinket under label with Glue Dot.

You will be left with 1 remaining piece of DSP, measuring 3 1/2"x 6". Rotate it and cut it into 2 pieces measuring 2 1/4". So you'll have 2 pieces measuring 3 1/2"x 2 1/4". You will then have a strip left over measuring 3 1/2" x 1 1/2". Cut it in half at 1 3/4", so you'll have 2 pieces measuring 1 3/4" x 1 1/2". ***Note, if you're cutting 2 pieces of DSP at a time, you will have double these pieces of DSP.

For this card, you'll center one of the 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" pieces to the top of a Pool Party card base. You'll center another piece at the bottom, leaving a space in between the two pieces of DSP. Take one of the remaining 4"x 3/4" strips of DSP and adhere a piece of Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim to the back with SNAIL, and adhere across the center as shown. Stamp the sentiment with Calypso Coral ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and punch out with Timeless Label Punch. Stamp off bird in background and adhere lable with Mini Dimensionals. Tuck 2 Bird Ballad Trinkets underneath label with Glue Dots. Repeat process for second card on Calypso Coral card base.

Finally, you'll be left with 2 pieces of  DSP measuring 1 3/4" x 1 1/2" (total of 4 pieces, double cutting). You'll then center them onto a piece of Pool Party Cardstock measuring 4" x 3 1/2". Stamp off the bird image onto a Petal Pink card base, and adhere the Pool Party Cardstock. Add a piece of Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim across the center and adhere with Glue Dots. Stamp the sentiment with Calypso Coral ink and stamp off the leaf in the background. Punch out with Timeless Label Punch and adhere with Mini Dimensionals. Add Bird Ballad Trinket with a rolled Glue Dot.

So with 2 pieces of coordinating DSP, you end up with this big, beautiful stack of 11 cards. If you want to use the remaining halves of DSP, you'll have 22 super quick & easy cards!!!
