Okay, back to this beautiful box. I got the inspiration for this from the SU! demonstrator website this morning. As demonstrators we get a weekly email and a quarterly magazine with all kinds of inspiration.
It's probably my favorite perk as a demonstrator...well besides the 25% discount:) I used the Sponge Brayer with Powder Pink ink to color a Mini Pizza Box. I then added a couple layers of Powder Pink Cardstock on top. I doubled-up a piece of Linen Thread, tied it around the cardstock & tied a big bow. I then added some Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon on top. I simply formed the ribbon into an off-set #8 and secured it with Glue Dots.
I stamped the sentiment from the Hostess set Yay You in Sahara Sand ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock. I cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I then stamped the flower spray 4 times onto Whisper White Cardstock. I switched gears with ribbon, so I stamped the sentiment on Very Vanilla to match, but in horror realized I had stamped and cut out all the flowers on Whisper White:(..........I laid them on top of the circle thinking how awful they'd look & was agonizing about stamping & cutting them all out again, when I discovered I liked the crisp border of white on the soft vanilla! Score!
I used Pear Pizzazz ink for the leaves, and attached the sprays to the circle with Glue Dots. I stamped & cut out the large flower only two more times & added them on top with Mini Dimensionals. I cut some greenery using Pretty Pines Thinlits from Vellum Cardstock & Sahara Sand. I tucked them under the circle with Glue Dots & added some Pearl Basic Jewels.
This simple card was made with Lots of Lavender as well. It's a CASE from one of the Artisans that was on the SU! site. I started with an Early Espresso base and added a strip of DSP from the Wood Textures DSP Stack. I butted a strip of Crumb Cake Cardstock next to it and stamped the flowers with Crumb Cake ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock.
I added a strip of Soft Sky Classic Weave Ribbon and attached the Early Espresso die-cut from Petals & More Thinlits on top with Glue Dots. The Petals & More Thinlits are a new SAB addition that you can get for FREE with a $100 purchase.
I used Glue Dots to anchor the Gold Sequin Trim & attached the sentiment on top with Mini Dimensionals. It was stamped with Early Espresso ink using the set Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts on Shimmery White Cardstock as well.
This was a card I designed previously for Card Buffet. You can scroll back to January 17th for the details.
I think this is my favorite Sale-A-Bration offering this year & I'm going to be sad to see it leave. Make sure to get a set of your own before it's gone for good if you haven't already! Get ready to be bombarded starting tomorrow with lots & lots of ideas for the remaining products. Thanks so much for stopping by:)
