CRAZY ABOUT YOU CARD #3:

Hello there! I'm happy to share another card with you today included in the March CLASS OF THE MONTH:CRAZY ABOUT YOU. Like I previously mentioned, I don't care for the flowers in this stamp set, but I was able to come up with one that I could live with. This proved to be a challenging set for me to work with, but I was pleasantly surprised with how this card turned out:) I started with a Crisp Cantaloupe base and added a layer of Very VanillaCardstock on top.

First, I cut the scalloped edge by running it through the Big Shot using the Large Scallop Edgelit. I then ran it through again using the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder. It went through a third time using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, keeping the scalloped edge out of the folder. I then ran the coordinating Hello You Thinlits through to get the 'happy' greeting.

For the flower, I stamped the image 3 times. The first time was with Crisp Cantaloupe ink, and 2 more in Blushing Bride. I cut out the whole Crisp Cantaloupe flower, then the medium layer, then the smallest layer. I put a Dimensional between the 2 bottom layers. I then thread a piece of  Silver Metallic Baker's Twine through a Very Vintage Button and attached with Glue Dots. I ran a piece of Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon around the Very Vanilla piece and adhered with SNAIL. Next, I wrapped a long piece of the Silver Metallic Baker's Twine around twice and tied a bow. I attached the Vanilla piece to the Cantaloupe base with Dimensionals.

I attached the flower with Dimensionals and the 'happy' sentiment with Liquid Tombow. I then stamped the sentiment in Crisp Cantaloupe ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch. I tucked it underneath the satin ribbon using Glue Dots. For the envelope, I rock 'n rolled the flower to coordinate with the 2-tone flower on the card. For this technique, I stamped the flower in Blushing Bride ink first, and then again in Crsip Cantaloupe, inking only the outside edge, working in a circular motion.

I hope you're getting lots of ideas for this versatile set, and are thinking of other occasions that this card would work for. Check back tomorrow for the final card included in this class. Thanks so much for stopping by:)
