FOXY FRIENDS CARD:

Hello there! I realized I forgot to post a couple of cards from last month's Card Buffet. This one pretty much sums up how I'm feeling right now. On Sunday we had to go and sign paperwork to admit my dad into Hospice. It's been a rough couple of weeks:( We were hoping to get him moved to Burlington so we'd have him close to us and wouldn't have the hour drive, but things didn't work out. I was so hoping at this point he could catch a break...it just stinks:)

I started with a Basic Black base and adhered a piece of Whole Lot of Lovely DSP to a piece of Pick a Pattern DSP. I adhered them to the base with SNAIL and added  a strip of Pick a Pattern Washi Tape. I then added a Pool Party starburst that I punched out with the Starburst Punch. I made the skunk using the Fox Builder Punch and Basic Black Cardstock. I punched his face, hair, chest and tail from Whisper White Cardstock. For the stripe, I punched out a white tail and inserted it back into the punch to make it thinner and attached it to a black tail with Liquid Tombow. His chest was made by using one end of the tail.

I used the set Foxy Friends to stamp his face in Basic Black and punched his nose from Powder Pink Cardstock. I attached the tail to the body using a Glue Dot and attached the body to the starburst with SNAIL. I attached his head with a Dimensional. The sentiment is from Hugs For You with Basic Black ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. Before I attached the starburst, I added a strip of the fun new Black Mini Sequin Trim with a couple of Glue Dots.

I tucked the sentiment under the skunk and added the Crushed Curry heart border underneath the starburst. I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits to cut out the strip and sprinkled a few of the hearts around using Liquid Tombow. Please keep my dad and our family in your prayers. We sure appreciate them:) Thanks so much for stopping by today!

  1. Oh Laura....hugs to you and your family.

I love this card and it made me smile. The pink nose is a great idea and so is the heart border and heart punch-outs.

    Thinking of you,
    Barbara
