SPRINKLED WITH LOVE HOSTESS GIFT:

Hello there! I wanted to share this sweet Hostess gift I made this month using May's Paper Pumpkin kit called Sprinkled with Love. Every month SU! shares some alternative ideas for the kit and I used some of their ideas for this treat holder.

I used the Soft Suede Spot to rub over the donut card base. I scored the bottom of each side to make a base to hold the candy. I reinforced it with a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock measuring 1" x 3" and glued it to the bottom. I used a Bone Folder on both sides of the card base to gently bend them. I attached the Powder Pink frosting piece to the front with Glue Dots and used a Gold Binder Clip to keep it closed. I tied a piece of the new Powder Pink Woven Ribbon around it and tied a bow.

I filled a 6" x 8" Cellophane Bag with peanut M&Ms, tied it shut with a piece of retired baker's twine and slid it inside the donut. I cut off the top of one of the striped kraft envelopes that came with the kit, folded it a couple of times and attached it to the bag with Glue Dots. I stamped the sentiment with Soft Suede onto one of the die-cut banners provided, snipped the ends off and adhered it on top with Dimensionals. I added the sequins and pearls included with the kit.

This was a really fun kit to put together and it came to the rescue for a sweet little treat for my Hostess this month. I'll be starting a new round of Club in July ordering from the brand new catalog which just went live. Let me know if you'd be interested in joining and getting a fun little treat during your month as Hostess, along with many other great perks! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

NUMBER OF YEARS CARDS:

Hello there! I have a couple of graduation cards I want to share with you before I get them in the mail. I think I found the idea for these on the SU! site. I had a graduation from BHS, so I started with a Perfect Plum base and used Going Grey with it for their high school colors. The other card was for New London so I used a Crushed Curry base and Basic Black.

I took a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and drew a light line with a pencil to keep the numbers straight. I I laid the numbers from the Large Numbers Framelits on the line and ran them through the Big Shot. I put Dimensionals on the back of the white cardstock and attached a piece of Basic Grey Cardstock to the Plum and a piece of Basic Black to the Curry. I stamped the sentiment with the retired Crazy About You set in Basic Grey & Basic Black inks. I attached them with Dimensional pieces.

For the caps I cut a 1" square from Basic Grey & Basic Black Cardstock. I used the retired mini tassels from the Occasions Catalog and died the tassels. I added several drops of reinker to an empty embellishments container and added a little water. I dipped the tassels in the mixture, patted them dry, and repeated the process a few times. I used Perfect Plum for one and Crushed Curry for the other. There's a Mini Tassels Assortment in the new catalog in Fresh Fig, Tranquil Tide & gold metallic. You may have luck dying those or you could make your own following Pinterest using baker's twine in the needed colors.

I attached the caps with Dimensionals and snipped off most of the metal ring on the tassels. I attached the tassel to the center of the cap with a Glue Dot. I used a retired handheld circle punch for the center and attached it with another Glue Dot. I added the stars from the Regals Enamel Shapes. I got the checks inside but need to run to the post office to see if I need extra postage for the thickness of the caps. Hopefully they'll get out today:) Thanks so much for stopping by!
