Hello there! Back with another one of my Creative Crew projects to share with you. For this challenge we were to focus on positive/negative images. This one was a little challenging for me, but my thinking cap eventually kicked in:) I used the Butterfly Basics/Butterflies Thinlits Bundle, which I saved 15% on by purchasing both:) I started with a Very Vanilla base and added a layer of the gorgeous Timeless Elegance DSP, which I got for free when I ordered 3 packages of DSP in December~just call me Bargain Betsy:) On top of that I added a coordinating paper onto which I centered one of the butterfly thinlits, and ran it through the Big Shot. I removed the butterfly, which gave me the negative image. I stamped~off the background images with Basic Black Archival ink and added borders of Venetian Crochet Trim which I adhered with SNAIL.
I attached this layer with Everyday Chic Washi Tape. I then stamped the sentiment with Basic Black Archival ink onto a piece of Vellum Cardstock and attached with Glue Dots.
Next I took the butterfly that I cut out from the DSP, used the other side and added a messy swirl of Gold Metallic Thread to the back with Liquid Tombow. I then adhered the butterfly to the DSP with Glue Dots~taking care of the positive aspect of the challenge.
I tried to get a view of the positive/negative image here.
I finished off the card by adding a Classy Button adorned with Gold Metallic Thread to the butterfly and scattering around a few Basic Pearls. I was happy that I was able to step up to the challenge, and I'll be making lots more of these in the near future. Make sure to stop back tomorrow for the last project of this month's challenge. Maybe I'll have the blinkie thing figured out by then! Thanks so much for stopping by:)
