Hello there! You should have just come from Lauri's blog. I knew she'd have something fun for us today! I have a list of all the participating demonstrators and links to their blogs at the end of this post in case you get lost.
Today I'm happy to share one of the cards I made for the contest. I'm definitely more comfortable with the cards and 3-D. This card was made with Dress Up, Flowering Flourishes, You're Amazing and Pennant Parade.
The color scheme was Daffodil Delight, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party and Smoky Slate, on a Very Vanilla background.
I did a little scoring on the sides to accomodate the extra bulk inside. I also attached magnets to the inside of the doors and underneath the shelf, so the doors would lay flat and flush. I thought about covering up the magnets with paper or paint, but was afraid they wouldn't stick, so I kept them as is.
I used the Big Shot and Finishing Touches Edgelits for the trim at the top of the armoire. It's the perfect name because it did add the finishing touch!
I used the Brushed Silver Cardstock for the mirror and added lots of Rhinestone Jewels and Dazzling Details to make this all girl.
I really had a lot of fun with this card. I am notorious for adding details-just ask my card ladies. I used to drive them nuts!
I gave the neclace a little dimension by adding drops of Crystal Effects on to it to resemble beads.
The Vintage Faceted Buttons were the perfect fit for the door and drawer knobs. I hope you enjoyed today's project. Now you're off to Kandi's blog. I can't wait to see what she's made for us today! Thanks so much for stopping by!
