SUMMER SMOOCHES CARD:

Hello! I hope you got outside today to enjoy the beautiful day. I took a bike ride-it was a little chilly, and I kind of felt like I had ice picks stuck in my ears, but it felt wonderful to be in the sunshine! And I have a sunny card to share with you today. I used the bright & fun Summer Smooches DSP, brads and stamp set. I colored the stamped image with Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo and Rich Razzleberry Markers onto Whisper White Cardstock. I then punched them out with the Postage Stamp Punch. I added a fabric brad to each of the stems and attached them with Dimensionals to a piece of Daffodil Delight that I punched with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. I wrapped some Daffodil Delight Seam Binding around the cardstock and added a tag to match the tag on the bags-Tiny Tags stamp set in Tangerine Tango ink and punched out with the Jewelry Tag Punch. The more I use this Suite, the more I love it! I hope you do too! Well off to do some more laundry and ironing-2 days til Florida!!! Check back tomorrow! Have a good night.

PURSE PARTY!:

Hi there! We had a great time making these adorable little purses at Club Night last night! I let them pick out which papers they wanted to use from the Summer Smooches DSP and pick out their own embellishments. They came up with some really cute combinations!

The Summer Smooches Suite is a Sneak Peek into the new catalog which won't be available until June. As a demonstrator, I'll be able to see it in May-YAY!, but it's fun that SU! is giving us all a little preview 2 months early. This mini purse is made with the brand new Petite Purse Die that works in the Big Shot, and it is part of the Suite.  I used Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon for the handle, and a Daffodil Delight flower was punched with the Boho Blossoms Punch.

For this purse, I made the handle out of Daffodil Delight Grosgain Ribbon and attached it with Metallic Brads. The flower is punched out of Tangerine Tango Cardstock and layered underneath one of the Summer Smooches Brads. There are 3 different designs, one on each of the purses. The only bad thing about these brads is that they are only available through April 30th! So let me know if you're interested in getting some of these cuties before they're gone.

For this purse I used a Tangerine Tango Scallop Dots Ribbon handle. The die also comes with a handle that you can make with DSP or cardstock. I used the Tiny Tags set for the sentiment and punched them out with the Jewelry Tag Punch. I made these for my Hostesses this month, so of course I had to include chocolate in them! They hold 4 Hershey Nuggets perfectly. The Suite includes a stamp set, DSP, fabric, brads, Daffodil Delight Seam Binding, the die, a stencil...and something else I  think I'm forgetting. You can see the whole collection on my online store at www.lauramellinger.stampinup.net.  Make sure to check back tomorrow for a cute card that coordinates. Thanks for coming by. Have a good night!

ARRAY OF SUNSHINE CARD:

Hi friends. I hope you had a terrific week-end! I sure did-Easter egg hunts, Ben-Hur and lots of chocolate! Gabriel stayed all night, so we had lots of fun with our grandbabies. He cannot keep his hands off Quinten. The Easter Bunny brought Gabe a new bike, so we may be trying that out later today. Here is the other card we made last month at Card Night.  I used the Array of Sunshine set. It's a Hostess set, so it will be going away at the end of May when the current catalog is done.  I stamped the flower images in Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze on Whisper White Cardstock. I stamped 3 of the RHR and 2 of the Baja, cut them out and layered them with dimensionals. I punched the leaf images from the Bird Builder punch and tucked them behind the flowers. I adhered them to a Blushing Bride oval that I cut out with the Big Shot and ran through again with the Perfect Dots Embossing Folder. I added a Blushing Bride Pleated Ribbon border around the oval with SNAIL and a bit of Sticky Strip. I used the Twitterpated DSP from the Occasions Mini on top of a piece of Baja Breeze and wrapped some Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon around it. I finished it off with a tag from the Family Reunion set, a Basic Pearl and a Twitterpated Button from the Occasions Mini. This would make a perfect Mother's Day card or change the sentiment for any occasion.

I'm going to try to post lots this week because we are leaving for Florida on Friday, so it will be a dry spell again for awhile. I'll be back soon-I hope you will be too!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYBUNNY!:

Hi there! I'm so sorry about the break. Still recovering from March Madness! And everytime I went to grab the camera-my daughter's camera, she was using it-the nerve! Anyway, I hope you've been enjoying the beautiful weather. This is one of the cards we made at Card Night last month. It features the set Everybunny from the IBC (Idea Book & Catalog). I added the Domestic Goddess DSP-LOVE those colors! I stamped the bunnies in Basic Grey on Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Pool Party Cardstock, then punched them out with the Large Tag Punch. I thought it would be fun to staple the Daffodil Delight Ribbon onto the tags for something different. I popped them up with a dimensional onto a piece of Whisper White with a Crumb Cake border. I put that onto a piece of Pool Party and wrapped a piece of Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon around it. I stamped the sentiment in Calypso Coral and punched it out with the Large Oval Punch. I added a Designer Printed Brad and that's about it!

I also wanted to share some pictures of Quinten. I always feel guilty when I don't post regularly, so hopefully these will get me back in your good graces!

Getting some tummy time!

Say what?

Don't you wanna take a bite out of him? I just wanna hurt him! Too darn cute!
Thank you so much for coming by! Have a wonderful Easter! I'll be back soon-I promise!
