MORE LEADERSHIP CARDS:

Hello! Thanks for stopping by. I have some more Leadership Display cards for you. They all feature the SAB set Outlined Occasions. I think it's my favorite SAB set-it's so fun and upbeat and works for anyone you're making a card for. I used a square of Poppy Parade from the In Color DSP Stack and mounted it on Basic Grey. Next, I layered 2 different papers from the Twitterpated DSP in the new Occasions Mini. I added a border around the sentiment made with the Tasteful Trim Die-I LOVE that thing, I use it all the time. I cut some strips of cardstock in Poppy Parade, Pool Party and Lucky Limeade and spritzed them with rubbing alcohol. I wrapped them around a skewer and held them there for a few seconds-the alcohol dries really fast. This was a fun, quick and easy card to make!

This is another quick and easy card. I ran a piece of Poppy Parade through the Big Shot using the Polka Dot Embossing Folder. I added some Brights Brads to the sentiment and some strips of cardstock. I finished it off with an Everyday Enchantment SAB Brad. Super quick and easy and cute!

And here's one more using this fun set. Have you noticed I love the color red? I think there's some shade of red on almost every project! I think this is my favorite card I made for Leadership. I love the 2 DSP papers together, both are from the Everyday Enchantment SAB DSP. We were very limited on the supplies we could use for our projects, so that's why you're seeing alot of the same things used. At least you'll get lots of different ideas for what you can do with these products. I used the Designer Frames Embossing Folder around the sentiment. These come as a set of 2-the rectangle and an oval, and they are one of the SAB offerings this year, so you can get them for FREE! I added some Poppy Parade Ribbon and some Crochet Trim underneath it. I hope you're getting some good ideas for some creations of your own! Thanks for stopping by. I'll have a few more for you again tomorrow. Have a good night!

LEADERSHIP CARDS:

Here's a card I made using the SAB set Sprinkled Expressions. I used the Twitterpated Fabric from the Occasions Mini for the kite tails. I think I stamped the heart images onto Blushing Bride DSP from the  In Color Paper Stack and then heat embossed them. I stamped 3 more heart images onto Whisper White Cardstock. I cut the 3 embossed hearts out and layered them on the 3 heart kites with dimensionals. Sorry, it's been awhile since I made this and I can't click on it to enlarge it-I still really don't know what I'm doing blogwise! I used the Cupcake Builder Punch for the clouds.

This is another card made using the Sprinkled Expressions SAB set. I thought it would make a good guy Graduation card. I used Poppy Parade, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait and Soft Suede. I added a little bit of Concord Crush DSP and some Daffodil Delight Ribbon with Brights Brads.

And here's one more card made with the same set. I used the SAB Everyday Enchantment DSP and stamped the flowers in Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Calypso Coral. I added some SAB Brads and Ribbon as well. I hope you're getting lots of good ideas for how to use all of the FREE products you can get during Sale-A-Bration! Well that's all I have today. Make sure to come back tomorrow for lots more ideas! Have a great day!

MORE LEADERSHIP PROJECTS:

Here's some more projects that I made for Leadership. I'll show you the 3-D projects-hope you like them!
This is a little box I made using the Outlined Occasions SAB set. I used the Box #2 Die and ran it through the Big Shot. It's so fast and easy. You can have this cute little box cut out and scored within seconds. And I needed every extra second I could get to finish these projects in time! I also used the SAB Everyday Enchantment DSP and Brads to decorate it. This would be perfect for a kids Birthday or would be a great gift card holder for an upcoming graduate.

This would be perfect for the 'little diva' in your life. I made it using the SAB set Elementary Elegance. I punched out some little flowers from the Silver Glimmer Paper and added a Trinket Key and an Antique Brad to finish it off. Again, I used the Big Shot to make this little treat bag. I used the Fancy Favor Die, which may be my favorite Die-super fast and easy!

I think this is my favorite 3-D project I made. I used the Big Shot with the Petal Cone Die. I used the Everyday Elegance DSP in the SAB catalog-which you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase. Sale-A-Bration is our biggest event of the year and will be going on through March. I'd be more than happy to help you get some free products! I also used the Pennant Parade stamp set for the sentiment. I love the diversity of this beautiful paper-many different patterns, but all have a vintage feel. This would be a perfect idea for your sweetie-just add chocolate!

This is the last of the 3-D projects that I made using the SAB sets. I used the Sprinkled Expressions set-actually just a few flowers from the set. I think the Twitterpated Fabric from the Occasions Mini Catalog takes center stage. Again, I used the Big Shot to make the scallop squares using the Scallop Square Die and the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder to give it them a little texture. I used the cute little safety pins from the Vintage Trinkets to attach the squares together.

They had a bunch of comfy couches in the middle of everything where you could sit down and take a break if you needed. They had a bunch of adorable pillows scatterd around that I thought you might like to see:

My favorite!
These were made with the same adorable fabric as our Leadership bags. It's called Summer Smooches and will be available in the next catalog. SU! always does a top notch job! Thanks for looking. Stop back tomorrow!

HELLO AGAIN!

I told you I'd be back! I went and took my beating at the Y and did some snuggling with Quinten. I should clean, but I don't want to. I'd rather share some of my Leadership projects with you. Back in November, I got a huge box from SU! full of brand new Sale-A-Bration and Mini products. Our mission, if we chose to accept it, was to create 24 projects that would be on display at the Leadership Conference. Of course we all did-we, being the 10 Artisan Award winners this year. Our 'reign' is quickly coming to an end : (... The entries for this year need to be in by April, and in May we'll have a new set of winners. It's been an exciting year! Back to the projects... This is a scrapbook page using the Outlined Occasions set. This is a SAB set which you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase. They told us to have a variety of simple and 'over the top' projects. This would definitely qualify as simple! I don't consider myself a skilled scrapper, so I thought I'd let the photos take center stage. They are of our youngest daughter Olivia and our oldest grandbaby Gabriel. What a little chunk-Gabriel, that is!

I'm going to start off with my scrapbook pages. I did 4 using the Sale-A-Bration sets. This page features my sweet Gabe and the Sprinkled Expressions set. It has the cutest sentiment-You make my whole face smile. And it does when I look at these pictures of Gabe playing in the snow. I also added a row of Eveyday Enchantment Brads. The brads and the stamp set are freebies in the SAB catalog.

This page features the SAB set Elementary Elegance, which you can get for FREE-notice a pattern here? I also used the set Loving Thoughts which is in the brand new Occasions Mini Catalog. I love how the little butterfly on the Everyday Enchantment brad coordinates with the Everyday Enchantment DSP, which, yes is in the SAB catalog, and yes you can get for FREE!

This is probably my favorite scrapbook page. It's called 'Our Beautiful Bibby' and I think it was easier to do because the photo of Olivia is so lovely-I let it take stage, front and center, and worked around it. I used the Fresh Vintage set from the SAB catalog along with a bit of the Everyday Enchantment Organdy Ribbon, again, products you can get for FREE.

Here's the page on display at Leadership, along with lots of other things made with the set.

Well that's all I have for today. Make sure to stop back tomorrow and I'll have lots more to share with you. Thanks for visiting!

LEADERSHIP TRIP!:

Hi everyone! It's finally Friday! Yay! I was hoping to share with you sooner, but it's been a busy week. We got home from San Antonio around noon on Sunday-after driving 17 hours! And I had my first card night of the new year on Monday, then again on Tuesday and Thursday. And I needed to get caught up on lots of things-mainly baby holding! Thanks for your patience with me : )

This is the darling bag we got when we checked in at our Leadership Conference. It's so cute! There's buttons all around it so you can take the red fabric off-why would you want to? And it's reversible too.

When we went to do Make & Takes, these were waiting for us! The cute little tag was made with My Digital Studio and Shelli signed each one-1400 of them! And the darling little box had scrumptious hand-made chocolate in them. I tried to stay out of it until I got home so I could share it with you-photographically speaking of course!, but I gave into temptation.

I absolutely adore the fabric that they used for this adorable folio and bag. I missed the name of it, but it will be available in the next catalog. The theme for Leadership was 'My Way' and SU! sure delivered with these!

The weather was perfect in San Antonio-70's and 80's all week! And the River Walk was so beautiful-especially at night. We happened to be there when they were filming the last episode of Extreme Home Makeover, and all the trees along the River Walk had lights on them-gorgeous! And so romantic! My sweet hubby and me had dinner outside next to the river every night! Thank you SU! for letting us experience such a wonderful city with so much to do. We'll definitely be coming back with the kids.

We stayed at La Quinta which was a bargain at $69 a night! We had about a 20 minute walk to and from the Convention Center each day which worked out perfectly. I must have got in enough exercise to work off the dessert I had every night-I didn't gain any weight! Score! We did have one bad experience with the hotel though. On our last night, we had a group of girls walk into our room while we were sleeping! At least we were sleeping-it could have scarred them for life otherwise!

Well I need to get a few things done around here. I'm going to try to post some of my Leadership display projects a little later today. I know-twice in one day-What? I feel guilty about neglecting you for so long! I'll be back...soon...I promise!

FINALLY GOT 'ER DONE!

Sorry for the break...but it's been hardly a break. This took a lot longer than I thought it would. For you to fully appreciate it, I'm going to have to show you some 'before' photos:

No, this isn't an episode of Hoarders, althought it clearly qualifies!

To my defense... I had events up until December 5th, and then I had to have 24 projects sent to SU! by December 16. That left me with about 8 days to do the majority of my Christmas shopping, all the wrapping and baking. Once I got done with everything, my room became the dumping ground, so I could get the downstairs in shape. Another problem I have is closet space, or lack of it. Our house was built in 1902 and apparently they didn't need storage back then? I only have 3, and they are all filled to the gills!

Okay, back to the good ones. Here's my Big Shot station and some of my projects over the years.

I like having all of my cardstock, ink and punches close by. And my tunes of course!

This is where Olivia is sleeping right now. Quinten's room is right next door, so this is working for now. Her room is in the basement, so we had to adjust a bit. I'm not sure how it's going to work when I need to be in here working late or early-we'll soon see!

It feels good to have this done! I may just keep going with the rest of the upstairs-it's not even close to what this room was! So everything else will be a piece of cake! And now that my room is back in shape, I'm ready to get creating again. Hopefully I'll have something for you tomorrow. I just got a box of brand new Occasions Mini goodies yesterday, so I'm ready to dig in!

Today is the last day of the Clearance Rack Blitz-some things are 80% off! You have until midnight, so go check it out if you haven't already!

And an update regarding Quinten...he had his first check-up yesterday, and he is doing great! He only weighed 4 lbs. 12 oz. when he was born a week ago, and he lost a little bit-down to 4 lbs. 8 oz. But yesterday he was back up to 4 lbs. 13 oz. The doctor said it usually takes a couple of weeks to get there, so he's ahead of schedule! Hopefully now that he's here, Grandma doesn't need to keep eating for two!  Thanks for your patience with me. Hopefully things will start getting back to normal around here again...well as normal as it's going to get for awhile!
