COME SAIL AWAY MAKE & TAKE:

Hello there! Today I have a cute little note card to share with you that I made at OnStage in San Antonio in April. I fell in love with the Come Sail Away Suite right then and there! I started with a note card from the Note Cards & Envelopes and added a layer of Come Sail Away DSP.

I then added a watercolor wash to the background of a piece of Watercolor Paper using an Aqua Painter and Balmy Blue ink. I set it aside to dry and cut out the wheel from Sahara Sand Cardstock and the rope from Soft Suede Cardstock using the Smooth Sailing Dies.

I stamped the lighthouse with Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and the sentiment with Night of Navy onto Balmy Blue Cardstock. I used the dies to cut out the lighthouse and the Everyday Label Punch to punch it out. When the watercolor paper was dry I stamped the compass in the background with Soft Suede ink.

I layered a coordinating design of DSP to the Watercolor Paper and adhered it to the DSP. I then attached the lighthouse with Dimensionals and the wheel with Glue Dots. I added the rope trim with Liquid Tombow, and attached the label with Dimensionals.

I finished it off by folding a piece of Sahara Sand/Night of Navy Baker's Twine in half and threading it through a Sail Away Trinket. I adhered it to the label with a Glue Dot. I love this card! You could easily convert it to a traditional card size. I'm so excited that a couple of my downline and I are going to be attending the next OnStage in Lansing in November. Take advantage of the amazing joining offer going on right now and join us! Make sure to leave me a comment and get a chance to win a roll of this awesome Baker's Twine! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

  1. This is cute! I like the water-colored background with the lighthouse for the focal point. The strip of soft suede adds a nice contrast on the bottom.
