INTO THE WOODS HOSTESS GIFT:

Hello there! Popping in to share the Hostess gift I made this month featuring the brand new Into the Woods Suite. This is one of the suites featured in the new Holiday Catalog which goes live tomorrow:) I started with a Petite Cafe Gift Bag and added 3 different designs from  Into The Woods DSP.

I ran a piece of Happy Haunting Washi Tape~also in the HC, around the top of the bag and added a piece of Rich Razzleberry Cotton Ribbon. I attached it to the bag using a Clothespin covered with In Color Washi Tape.

I cut the top design of DSP out by hand and attached to the banner with a Dimensional. I then wrapped a piece of Old Olive Baker's Twine around the bag and strung one of the sentiments from the Expressions Natural Elements through it. I finished it off with an Into the Woods Elements tucked underneath the flowers.

I then naturally filled the bag with chocolate:) I can't wait to start playing with more of my goodies from the new Holiday Catalog. SU! really stepped up their game with this one! I've got a bunch of favors and bows to finish up for a wedding this week-end, but then I'm off to play:) Thanks so much for stopping by!

PAPER PUMPKIN PIE IN A JAR:

Hello there! I met with my Pumpkin Pals last night and we had a great time working on August's Paper Pumpkin kit Chalk It Up To Love~see previous post for all the fun projects we made. I found a yummy recipe for a Pumpkin Pie in a Jar and made one for everyone.

SU! had these fun Paper Pumpkin stamp sets and pens available at Convention, and I was able to order them. I used Soft Sky and Watermelon Wonder Cardstock and Pool Party and Watermelon Wonder ink.

I used the 2 1/2" Circle, 1 3/8" Circle & 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punches, along with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Stickers. I also added some of the fun Silver Metallic Thread and Pool Party Cotton Ribbon.

Sometimes I wish we had a bigger group at our Pumpkin Party, but then again, it's nice having a small group so I can spoil them:) If you'd like to join our fun little group on the last Thursday of the month...and save 50% off of your first 2 months...check out all the details at www.paperpumpkin.com or shoot me an email with any questions. but hurry, the HALFOFF promo only lasts til September 10th (for brand new subscribers only)!

I had an extra treat last night and gave it to my son. He said I need a bigger jar, lol! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

CHALK IT UP TO LOVE AUGUST PAPER PUMPKIN:

Hello there! Sorry for the break, but I've had lots going on. We finally got our little girl! Our daughter Olivia had Elise Lauren on August 16th. A whopping 5 pounds, 6 oz.:

You'd think dad did all the work, lol...

Quinten wasn't too sure about her at first, but it didn't take him too long to step up to 'Big Brother':)

He loves his little sissy:)

And here's my biggest grandbaby, Gabe with his brand new cousin. I am one blessed grandma to have these 3 Amigos:):):)

Here's the stamp set that came with this month's kit, along with a Whisper White Craft Spot.

These are the projects made according to the kit instructions~3 pink/gold foil cards, 3 gold foil stripe cards and 3 gift boxes. Again, Paper Pumpkin really outdid itself this month!

Here's an alternate card I made using a Watermelon Wonder base and the same color Dotted Lace Trim. I added some Gold Metallic Baker's Twine, Tea Lace Doilies, Everday Chic Washi Tape, Very Vintage Buttons and Gold Sequin Trim. I added a Very Vanilla scallop trim piece using the Berry Basket Die.

For this card I started with a Pink Pirouette base and added both cardstock designs. I tucked a piece of Delightful Dijon Dotted Lace trim underneath. I used the Washi Label Punch in Gold Foil Sheets and added some Blushing Bride Sequin Trim. I used the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack for the flower and added a Basic Pearl to the center.

I made a miniature box by cutting it down. I was hoping to get 2 mini boxes out of one of the included boxes, but they would have been too overwhelmed by the flower.

I started with a Very Vanilla base and added a Gold Foil Sheet on top which I ran through the Big Shot using the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder. I added an Antique Brad and some of the brand new Gold Cording from the Holiday Catalog. The sentiment is from the set Bravo.

Everything about this kit looked like Paris to me, so I had to 2-day a couple of stamp sets to help me pull it off. I got the set Happy Happenings for the sentiment and printed off a tiny Eiffel Tower that I found on Pinterest. I added some Pink Pirouette Seam Binding, Metallic Sequins, Metallic Thread, Gold Sequin Trim and a Subtles Button. I used a White Gel Pen to draw the border around the tag.

I also needed the set Hot Diggity Dog for the poodle:) I started with a Basic Black base and added some Blushing Bride Sequin Trim, Everyday Chic Washi Tape, Basic Black Baker's Twine and Basic Rhinestones to her collar.

For this card I added some Gold Metallic Thread and Gold Cord. I punched out a heart from a Gold Foil Sheet using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and placed an Itty Bitty Accent Epoxy Sticker on top.

I made a fun little purse which doubles as a gift card holder. I started with a Basic Black base that I ran through the Big Shot using the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder. I cut apart one of the boxes in the kit and ran it though the Big Shot using the Ovals Framelits for the flap.

I used the 3/4" and 1" Circle Punches to cut these out of a Gold Foil Sheet. I used the ribbon provided in the kit and attached it through the circles.

I adhered the ribbon to itself as shown using Tear & Tape Adhesive.

Add a Glue Dot to the top and botton of the ring to keep the ribbon in place for the handle.

Attach the handle to the base using Tear & Tape, folding the ribbon as shown. Then attach the purse flap with Dimensionals over the top.

I cut one of the flower center strips in half and added a 5" piece of Gold Cording to one end. I rolled it up and repeated the process for the other end of the cording.

I put the cord through one of the rings and tied it in a knot~actually, a couple of knots to shorten the tassels up a bit. Finally, I added a Gold Foil circle underneath a Vintage Faceted Button and attached to the flap with Glue Dots.

I was inspired for this card by one I saw on Pinterest. I started with a Shimmery White base and added a piece of Gold Satin Ribbon and a bow. I used the Label Bracket Punch in Pink Pirouette Cardstock for the detail underneath the label and added a row of Basic Pearls. It seemed kind of plain when I got finished, and thought about pulling everything off and running it through the Big Shot with an embossing folder, but I thought maybe my card ladies would appreciate an easy one:)

This one is note card size to fit with the envelopes included in the kit. I started with a Basic Black base and cut out the center with the Ovals Framelits. I then ran it through the Big Shot using a retired embossing folder. I used the leftover piece from one of the tags and trimmed it evenly on all sides. I laid it on top of the oval window I cut from the base and traced the squared part of the frame with a pencil. I cut out the notches and adhered to the base with Dimensionals. I cut a rectangle, stamped the sentiment and adhered it to the top piece on the inside with Dimensionals. I used a past Paper Pumpkin kit for the bike, cut it out and attached with a Dimensional as well. I used the Banner Punch to punch out the banners and attached the outside ones with Dimensionals and the middle one with Liquid Tombow. I added a couple of Blushing Bride Cotton Ribbon bows and a flower made with the Tree Builder Punch. I sprinkled a few Basic Rhinestones around for the finishing touch.

And my favorite project is this sweet little French Train Case. I used the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits with Pink Pirouette Cardstock. I ran the handle through the Big Shot again using Basic Black Cardstock to make the handles. I simply glued the black over the pink. I glued both designs of cardstock from the kit to the front using Liquid Tombow and made the flap with the Washi Label Punch. I heat-embossed one of the Classy Buttons with Black Embossing Powder and Black StazOn ink. I made the Gold Foil bow with the Balloon Framelits and added a Basic Rhinestone. I attached the tag with Basic Black Baker's Twine.

I got a little carried away this month. I couldn't help it, once I got started, I was on a roll:) I can't wait to meet with my Pumpkin Pals tomorrow night and share all these ideas with them. And to share a yummy pumpkin treat as well:) Thanks so much for stopping by!

CIRCLE OF SPRING CARD:

Hello there! I needed a baby girl card for my neice who just had her baby, and I decided to break out my Circle of Spring set. I started with a Whisper White base and added a layer of Pink Pirouette on top. I then added  DSP from the Subtles Color Collection.

Amanda likes purple, so I added a piece of Wisteria Wonder Seam Binding around the pink pieces. I then topped that off with a Tea Lace Doily. I stamped the wreath with Wisteria Wonder ink as well.

I colored the flowers using Wisteria Wonder, Pink Pirouette & Pear Pizzazz Markers. I also used the set Sweet Li'l One for the sentiment. I used the Circles Framelits  to cut out the circle using the Big Shot...because I forgot I had the Wonderful Wreath Framelits to cut it out, lol. I added some vellum flowers using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and the Tree Builder Punch. I added Basic Pearls to the centers and scattered some around the card.

Finally, I made a bow and attached it with Glue Dots, and added some Blushing Bride Sequin Trim. A pretty little card for a pretty little Sophia:) Thanks so much for stopping by!

BA~BEE SHOWER GIFT:

Hello there! I made this cute little gift card bag for a baby shower recently. I apologize that some of the items are retired, but you could easily make it with current products. I've debated about getting the set Honeycomb Hello, and this was another time I wished I had it, so I'm just gonna have to get the darn thing! As you'll see below, I needed a bee theme to go with the cute gift card I got.

I found a really cute gift card holder/bag at Target and bought one to make a template. It looks like a miniature gift bag, but when you open it, up slides a gift card. So cute!

The DSP is from the Subtles Color Collection and you'll need 2 sheets as the bag template is bigger than 12 x 12. I made the bee hive using the Note Tag Punch in So Saffron Cardstock. I used the Word Window and 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punches as well. I cut the scallop circle into strips and adhered them to the Note Tag base. I used the Bitty Banners Framelits to punch out the sentiment, with the help of the Big Shot.

I was racking my brain for something clever for the inside. I was going to go with something along the lines of 'Something for your little Bit O' Honey', and then this came to me(thanks to the big man upstairs:). I used the Alphabet Rotary Stamp, which is so awesome for custom sentiments.

I added this tag, but I'm not so sure about it...maybe too big and distracting? But I didn't have enough space to write a note in the bag, so it is what it is. Yeah, I should have made it smaller, but I ran out of time:(

Anyway, it was a cute idea and I hope you have luck finding it at your local Target in case you want to make one:) Thanks so much for stopping by!

ALL SHOOK UP DECEMBER 2014 PAPER PUMPKIN:

Hello there! Back again with my last past Paper Pumpkin called All Shook Up, from last December. Just a reminder, all of these past kits I've shared are still available to current Paper Pumpkin subscribers(as long as supplies last):)

Here's the stamp set included in the kit, along with a Smoky Slate spot.

These are the cards made according to the kit instructions. Super fun & cute shaker cards! They're really cute as is, but I would probably tie a piece of ribbon around the photo frame and maybe add a button, and they'd be extra fun.

This is a super quick & simple 3 x 3 I found on the SU! site. I used Mint Macaron ink and a heart sequin from the Brights Sequin Assortment.

This is another card inspired from SU! I made it inside out, by keeping the grey on the inside.  I used some of the negative space from one of the sticker sheets and punched out a pennant using the Banner Punch. I used the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack for the flower and added a Basic Rhinestone to the center.

I started with a Mint Macaron base for this card. The kit actually uses Pistachio Pudding, but I had it all boxed up with my retired stash. I used the set Dotty Angles with Mint Macaron ink for the background, stamping it off first. I stamped the die-cut sentiment with VersaMark and sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder. I used the Heat Tool to set it, and popped the word out of the die-cut sheet after it had cooled. I stamped the background sentiment onto a Window Sheet using White StazOn ink and used my retired Hearts Framelits to cut it out. Finally, I added a piece of Gold Metallic Baker's Twine. Once I finished this 3rd design I found on the SU! site, I was ready to get creative:)

I used the leftover star sheet for the background on this card by attaching it to the card base with Dimensionals. I carefully cut the sentiment from one of the sticker sheets and made use of the negative space left over from the hello card above. I added a piece of Sweet Li'l Things Washi Tape, and added the sentiment piece using Dimensionals. I added a Vintage Faceted Button along with some Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine. Another super quick & easy card:)

For this card I added some Melon Mambo Cotton Ribbon and used Bermuda Bay ink. I flipped the photo frame over and stamped the sentiment on the plain side.

I added some Whisper White Cotton Ribbon and Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim to this card.

For this fun treat holder, I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits along with the Big Shot. I used 2 of the leftover star sheets to make this treat bag. I used Daffodil Delight Cardstock for the star strip, and Bermuda Bay Striped Ribbon & baker's twine. I used the Stars Framelits to cut out the star and added a Neutrals Button.

For this final card, I used the Balloon Framelits and a leftover star sheet. I cut another balloon out of a piece of Basic Grey Cardstock and adhered it to the star balloon with Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment with Basic Grey onto the photo frame, and again on the card base, being careful to line it up. I finished it off with a piece of Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine.
