BIRTHDAY BUNDLE PAPER PUMPKIN:

Hello there! So happy to be back with another Paper Pumpkin kit to share with you. This is the surprise that showed up at my door last month, Birthday Bundle. And what a bundle it was! It came with everything to make 6 cards, including envelopes and 4 adorable gift bags. I've been having fun coming up with several alternate projects as well:)

Here's the stamp set included with the kit. Very versatile, and there's even a to/from stamp that you'll be able to put to use at Christmastime.

Here's the 2 projects made according to the kit instructions~super cute as is. These are a snap to put together in no time, and they're perfect for every birthday boy or girl:)

I made a smaller gift bag by cutting off the top flap. I kinda hated cutting it up, but I put everything to good use. The kit even came with tissue, and I cut a couple of strips off for the fun little fringy border. I used the Fringe Scissors on them, curled them by wrapping them around a skewer and adhered around the top using Liquid Tombow. I cut one of the cards in half and used the stripe design to show through the balloon cut-outs. I double-stacked Dimensionals on all 4 corners and 2 in the center to get a little extra depth. I punched a hole on each side of the bag for the handle using the 1/4" Handheld Circle Punch and tied a knot on each end of the twine.

No birthday party is complete without favors, so I made one for girls and one for boys. Like I mentioned yesterday, if you're a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can order past kits and refills. The full kits are $17 and the refills are $8. So if you already have the stamps and ink, you'd only need the refill/refills for the quantity you need.

For the purse, I cut the top off of one of the giftbags, and trimmed the bottom piece to a hair under 3".

For the inside, I took a piece of Cherry On Top DSP and laid it on my Simply Scored. I found the center of the DSP, which is easy since it's 6x6. I scored on the lines right before and right after 3" to allow a little folder for the Hershey bar. Make sure you have your desired pattern facing up and going the right direction.

Once you have your DSP scored and folded, it will fit perfectly inside. Just adhere the DSP to the bag piece. Next, I cut some of the twine to make a handle and glued it to the top of the DSP, right under the flap, using Liquid Tombow. I secured the Hershey bar with a couple of Glue Dots, folded the DSP over it, and used a velcro dot to keep it closed(see previous picture).

I found one of the tags included in the kit made a perfect flap for my purse:) I added some faux stitching using the retired Essentials Paper-piercing Pack, Mat & Tool. The Updated Essentials Pack looks like it could possibly work? I doubled up the twine and put it through the holes and tied it in a knot. I stuck the flap through and attached with Liquid Tombow and added a Brights Button with a Glue Dot. The sentiment was stamped with the set Bravo in Watermelon Wonder that I stamped off and onto Whisper White Cardstock. I cut the tag out with the Big Shot and the Hamburger Box Die. I attached the tag with a piece of Crushed Curry Baker's Twine.

For the treat bag I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits~duh, what else would I use? I used the Cherry On Top DSP again, which coordinates really well with this kit. I used a Clothespin to attach the balloon to the bag and sprinkled some confetti on it made with Daffodil Delight Cardstock and the Fringe Scissors.

I made a shaker card by adding a piece of Vellum Cardstock to the base. I scored at 1/8" along all 4 sides and folded it with a Bone Folder, to kind of raise the vellum up a bit, so there'd be a little more room for the movin' & the shakin'. Still not shaking as much as I'd like, more like clumping, but at least it's something. I glued the vellum down with Liquid Tombow and added a border of Cherry On Top Washi Tape. I added a couple of Daffodil Delight stars made with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

For this card, I made a Daffodil Delight border that I fringed and curled a bit with my Bone Folder. I wrapped a piece of Crushed Curry Baker's Twine around it and tied in in a bow. I cut out an accent using the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits out of Silver Glimmer Paper. I stamped the sentiment with Whipser White Craft ink and White Embossing Powder and used the Heat Tool to emboss it.

For the last card, I stamped the balloons in Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral & Bermuda Bay ink. I cut them out using my Paper Snips and attached the Daffodil & Calypso balloons with Dimensionals. I added a twine bow with a Glue Dot.
